Hello again! When you said you were going again to Koko soon, di you mean your mates mate was playing or paying? Although either option is a win-win situation for you ;-). Yeah I went there about 2 months back for a mates birthday, one of the best nights out I ever had, until the slow 2 hours train ride back home at 4 in the morning when I was really tired! So you've given me a lot to get through and here's my outlook: Dear And The Headlights...awesome!! Mystery Jets...not sure yet but they seem like a band that is really enjoying themselves, I quite like the song they did with Laura Marling though. The Rakes...I've heard a few times but the lyrics do nothing for me and just generally seem a bit bland. The Maccabees...I feel that they have a decent sound but yet again the lyrics aren't quite what I look for. From everything you've recommended so far though I get the impression you have quite a penchant for beautiful/romantic styles of music, would that be right? :-)

The giraffe waved at me :)

Yes Miss! (complete with salute!) haha. I'll get right on it as well as give those other 2 artists you mentioned a listen. I'm glad you like The Cribs, I only really started to get into them this last year and they've really grown on me and are now probably inside my top 5 bands although I wasn't too keen on the stuff they did with Johnny Marr, glad they are a 3-piece again now. The Zebedy Rays are a relatively new band, currently trying to make their breakthrough and the only reason I know them is because I saw them in the Koko club in London when they were headlining and they were amazing. I loved their sound and they have a very good stage energy which is a must for live bands. Right. I'm gonna get listening now :-)

Hey, so I gave those two artists a listen, I'd never heard of either before...Ben Howard, he makes beautiful music which is accompanied with beautiful music videos, I enjoyed his stuff but wasn't so keen on Young The Giant but don't get me wrong, they are talented, just not to my taste. I guess I prefer my rock stars to be a bit less clean cut and a bit more rough round the edges and with a sound to match. The bands I listen to tend to be relatively well known ones since none of my friends really have the same taste as me and so never receive many recommendations and also tend to find out about bands a bit later than most, which makes finding this site a lifesaver and so must thank you for opening my eyes up to the ones you have so far. My current favourites are The Vaccines, The Black Keys, The Cribs, The Subways and The Zebedy Rays...so feel free to give me any feedback on those, most of which you will already know :-)

Oh, well thats a shame but no problem, no two people can like all the same music. What other bands have you been listening to a lot recently?

OK, so I gave this band Frightened Rabbit a listen to like you suggested and I have found them to be quite anthemic sounding, they have some very good melodies, not sure if the folkier sound is really my thing but who knows, most bands I've ever gotten into have usually taken time to grow on me so I could get really into them in the future so thanks for introducing them to me :-). My favoruite band of the moment are The Kills and as I don't see them on your charts, I believe you should check them out :-)

'ello. Been following you on twitter, do you really want a cat sized giraffe? This is the best I could find http://www.thecutereport.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/03101.jpg

I see, a very good choice! Would this mean that those lyrics on your profile are your favourite lyrics from your favourite song? I personally love Don't Look Back Into The Sun, I've had it as my mobile phone ring tone for as long as I can remember, i just love the intro and then waiting to answer the phone with yeeeaaaahhh :-)

haha well I'm not gonna argue with that! :-) What would you say is your favourite Libertines song, if you had to pick one (I know its hard)?

Well hello there yourself! :-) you have amazing taste in music yourself and I especially like the words written in your "about me section" ;-)

Hey... What that last message meant...make sure that you have it set up in your options to scrobe from the dir the files are located. An example is, I had some files on my desktop but in my Laft.fm is not set up to scrobe from the desktop. Go here... Open the last.fm program and press Ctrl-o (Options) press the scrobbing button and see if the dir is selected under the Scrobble DIRs. Also try this http://www.last.fm/forum/34905/_/506001

And make sure that you have strobbing selected to strobe the dir that your music is in.

For your ipod scrobbing problem have you seen this? http://www.last.fm/help/faq?category=105#185 sorry if you have...Ill keep an eye out.
