W kolejce do sprawdzenia.

I Pearl Jam widzę (props, kolejny klasyk). Od DS Brothers in Arms na pewno znasz całe, ale od siebie mogę polecić Communique. Genialny stuff.

W takim razie mam nadzieję, że wyniki będą zadowalające. Co później? Jakieś plany co do kierunku studiów?

Sorry I haven't sent that mix I'd said I'd send you yesterday. Some stuff came up and I haven't had a chance to finish working on it, so it might be a day or two.

Comin Up and My Angel are really good. There's other bits that are kinda like he's just on autopilot, though. Like Hogg in the Game.

I haven't heard all of his other two solo albums but yeah, I wasn't big on Trill. I got Sweet James Jones and that I liked, though. Even at his weakest, Pimp C's still pretty good. I haven't got Pimpalation yet. I'm saving up.

I agree. I liked that song's beat but aside from that and Pimp C's verse, I don't think Get Throwed was very good.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked him. For a lot of people in Texas, he's like Tupac. A lot of people just know him as that guy that did the hook on "Get Throwed" by Bun B but he's so much more.

Thanks :) I'm working on it now, so I'll hopefully finish it quickly. The other thing is I'm probly gonna give you the mp3's so you can burn a CD cuz Houston music is really meant for jamming in a car, so computer speakers don't tend to do the songs justice.

I actually happen to love showing people new music. Is it cool if I make you a playlist of Houston songs you might not have heard before? I can pick out the songs with my Zune so I'll probably have it done by tomorrow.

Lol I feel ya. My favorite thing about being from Texas is the rap music we have in our state. Just going through your library, you have a pretty good knowledge of our music, though. You're missing a couple of our great rappers but you know a lot more of it than even most rap fans in the rest of the U.S. would know, much less rap fans in Europe. I'm especially impressed that you've got Trae in your library. Oh, and Devin the Dude, too. A lot of rap fans in Texas don't even know about Devin. And Texas loves Trae but I doubt many people outside of Texas are aware of him.

Yeah, good points. Part of it's probably that Pimp C had been going by his name since at least the late 80's, though. It's not like he really knew what he was gonna be like two decades later. So I think he was probably a pimp and a husband at different times. Speaking of Texas, I do live there. That's why I'm into UGK- they're legends here. I do know some people from Port Arthur and a lady around their age who grew up in PA them told me a lot about them. She says they were pushing dope before they started rapping and that people in PA know it. I don't know for sure whether she was being honest but it wouldn't surprise me. Also, they started the word "trill." Texas rappers love UGK and that's why they say "trill" all the time. I'm kinda curious how you found out about them in Poland. In Texas, they're huge but I don't think they'd be as big where you live.

Well what's ironic is that's actually kinda my problem with Bun- I don't think he really comes across as being all that gangsta. To me, Bun's threats always come across as vague like he's not actually talking about anyone and he's just sayin stuff. Pimp seems a lot more like a loose cannon who would seriously fuck someone up without thinking about it and to me he seems more menacing. He was more emotional, though. I love how on Diamonds and Wood he starts off talking about he's "looking tight" and "I ride dirty every day but still I shine so clean" and then out of nowhere he suddenly starts talking about his relationship issues with his girlfriend. It's like he meant to do just another song but couldn't help but expose what was on his mind.
