I know, I like christmas and new year, but it's always good to get back to normal again. Glad the snow is away at my end, had enough of it now. Was nice to see over christmas, but when I had to get back to work, it was a pest trying to walk on the ice. I'm not the most graceful of people at the best of times!

I'm not going to be able to go now, been totally skint this month. Too many things have creeped up on me financially and I can't afford anything. Bastard, innit? There's loads I was intending to go to that I'll probably not make it too now. How are things anyway?

I'd like to go though I don't know much of their stuff. I remember it was a nightmare getting back from a gig there once before. I just don't know the place at all, though we found the botanic gardens last week. Didn't get to spend enough time there, sadly. We've made a note to go when the summer arrives. If it ever does!

Aye, I know that feeling alright! Every time I get in there and gut it out for her, she promises not to get it in a state again, cos she always is amazed at how good it looks when it's done properly. And it still gets in a state. Slowly, but still a state. Bloody nightmare, actually though I'm sure you know that already! I've got a few days off work, so I've promised her I'll help her with it, though I'm not sure when I'll be able to get into it. Half way through painting my kitchen (been half way done for... oohh, good couple of months now!) so I've said to myself I'll get it done. At some point! Not been up to much myself really, not been to many gigs, though I did go to a club the other week, was rather shit. Though maybe I'm just too old for it now. :s

I'm just asking, cos when we were at the Opeth gig, there was a dude standing behind me who I thought looked familiar. Actually, I thought he was someone I used to know from a million years ago, but I didn't recognise the girl he was with cos I know his wife, then it occurred to me it might be your ex, cos they both actually look familiar. The girl was kinda heavy, but I'm sure she was blonde. Not naturally though, dyed that way. Might not have been them though, I just thought I'd ask since you brought it up. How are things anyway? Someone in work told me I could get a bus straight to it, but I really don't know Edinburgh that well at all. Might end up with a taxi and get ripped off, but at least that way I'd get there in time. CoB are playing with Slipknot and Machine Head (filthy buggers) next year, maybe you'd get to see them then. I was talking about that today, could maybe think about that one, I'd love to see them. I've barely thought about christmas, though I know I'm leaving it kinda last minute. I know loads of people who are finished, or have very little left to buy. Makes me sick, they do. Pah!

I've always enjoyed the whole halloween thing, when I was 19 I took it a little to far by dressing as Jason Voorhees with the hockey mask & boiler suit but couldn't get a good enough fake machete, so I used a real one which I can tell you didn't go down to well with the local police.

Not long 'till you get to go to the Unholy Alliance show, looking forwards to it? I was 34 (god I feel old) a couple of weeks ago and wanted to go to a show to enjoy myself and typical nothing decent on for hundreds of miles.

I see that your going to the Unholy Alliance show, Amon Amarth are great as are Slayer. Mastadon are okay but Trivium are just posers. You'll notice that I sent you 2 PM's, the first one is just your message sent back to you as I screwed it up. :)
