Nah. The whole thing has gone that way. Obviously the community has grown massively in the past few years and considering that it generally appeals to weebs rather than actual producers the whole thing has been flooded with talentless neckbeards. Don't get me wrong there are some good ones but most are shite.

Honestly, you might not want to. The Vocaloid community became over-saturated with the surge of popularity then began to drop off a cliff in terms of quality. There has been a few good songs but nothing as good as 2007-2009 Miku. You've got a handful of great guys and the rest are pretty shit or contrived to be honest.

Mmmmm.... Wowaka, Neru, Clean Tears and HSP are my favourites at the moment but I listen to decent variety of it and a lot of underground guys so there is probably a ton of them I am missing. I'm always picking up new shit as well.

Vocaloid indeed fella. Sorry, I fell asleep. I do enjoy my artificial singers and their happy songs.

Yeah man, Merzbow has a strong interest in BDSM stuff and he's written a few books on it too (I think one of them comes with the Merzbox but I'm not entirely sure). If you're new to Merzbow though, 1930 is one of his best albums to start with, but personally, I've got a soft spot for his album Sphere. The slow intensity gradually building up to be louder and louder - it might just be me, but I get a bit of a post-rock vibe from it, as if it's going to eventually hit a crescendo or something. If you give the guy a listen, I hope you enjoy his work. He's got a ridiculously large discography haha.

fair enough, man haha. I started using last.fm as it's pretty useful finding new music on it with the similar artists it shares when you've listened to more stuff. It's neat also just chatting to people on here to see what they're into, but there's definitely gotta be an element of showing off how much you've listened to as well haha.

I haven't yet, but it seems nice, and they are french, so little proust in me is extra interested
