Hey ! You got some really good music here :) Greetings.

Howdy! How have you been!? More importantly, have you been watching Jeopardy with any degree of frequency recently? If so, you would likely have noticed that your doppelganger (albeit roughly ten years older and with significantly darker hair) put in an appearance on contestant row on this past Thursday's installment! She wasn't able to unseat the reigning champion, but did quite well on an "Assorted Flowers" category. Given your personal proclivity for awesome floral hair decorations, I took this as further proof that she was in fact your clone.

Hey. Nice charts... you mix it up well.

I've actually never heard of The White Buffalo, so I'm again indebted to you for a sage recommendation. I doubt I'll be able to make the show tomorrow due to the fact that I blew all my expendable cash on a Bob Dylan show at Temple U last night, but I really enjoyed working my way through his diminutive catalog earlier this evening! Hopefully he works his way back to the East Coast in the not too distant future. Re: your last "shout": Think nothing of it! My syntax was probably a bit confusing anyway. Nevertheless, I am exceedingly jealous of you for having attended that Rittenhouse performance and resolve to be more regular with my website tour date checks in the future. Sorry to hear you've had such an interminable day!

Have you seen any stellar shows in the Philly area recently!? I get the sense that I may have missed yet ANOTHER Kurt Vile show recently and, frankly, I'm a little peeved about it.

have you seen this yet? so good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSgiXGELjbc Hope you are having a wonderful weekend :)

hey

Unfortunately, I didn't even get to the sunset rubdown show because there was flooding here and I couldn't get to the train station! I mourn my will-call ticket that will go forever unused. Fortunately, I'm going to be in San Francisco when they play there on the 24th; maybe I'll see them there! What's the name of your DJ pal?

I just gave it a listen per your recommendation, and it is indeed great. I love the slowed tempo and vaguely menacing tone. They managed to preserve everything I loved about the album version (the underlying melody and triumphant bridges) while totally changing he ambiance of the song. Really great. They played something more akin to the album recording when I saw them at the church last year, but I certainly wouldn't mind hearing this version on Sat! Also, I've already pilfered most of your musical library and have grown exceedingly fond of Langhorne Slim. The Kurt Vile reviews that I read made him sound very appealing as well, but I've been unable to find any of his material online. I see he's playing Johnny Brenda's later this summer, though; perhaps I'll have to make the trip and pick up a cd there!

Also - I'm currently in the process of stealing lots of stuff from your charts. I figured it'd be at least mildly less creepy if I just let you know upfront.

Unfortunately not! I would have loved to see him, though. I'm not living in Philly over the summer, so I've had to scale back my show schedule pretty substantially. I've basically limited it to the most absolutely high priority stuff, like the Felice Brothers in April and the Avetts next Saturday. I'm definitely bummed at missing out on some bands who, like Phosphorescent, I've heard good things about but am not extensively familiar with. I actually enjoy those "curiosity concerts" more at times, because expectations are low and, if they impress, you come away with the charge of having discovered a new favorite band. I can't wait until the Fall so I can start indulging in this sort of behavior again.

Grace, I hope you were able to listen to that album. I wanted to share this video with you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNcOyMLJ1xI

Sure, since you asked so nicely. I don't know if you got to read the first one prior to its unintentional removal, but I just asked if you had seen any Jason Isbell shows before. I never got to see him with the Truckers and always lamented the fact that, accordingly, I'll never hear them play "Goddamn Lonely Love." I'm pretty excited for the forthcoming Philly show, though, and sorta' wondered if you're at all familiar with the setlists he's been playing recently.

That will be incredible. I love the version of Goodnight Irene on the myspace page.

yea yea, that looks coool. u gonna get tickets online?

I like it very much, Grace. I was an avid fan of The White Buffalo a few years ago. You need to hear these guys: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxNhmd7JBq0&feature=related
