What a classic! It randomly got played out of a Spotify playlist after a long time and it hit me so hard! Love it! ❤️️

I never noticed how sad this song is... and how much it describes my life! Just like Runaway train. A MASTERPIECE! "I can't stand myself, I'm being held up by invisible men ...I'm seeing a tunnel at the end of all of these lights" <- so ralatable! 😢🌧

If you like Travis, check out the 12 Memories album. It's seriously underrated.

posted 09-02-2011, '...I'm seeing a tunnel at the end of all these lights...' is Fran just playing with the words in the common phrase of near death experiences? Perhaps. But my theory is more Buddhist/science-fiction. Maybe death is just the beginning into some other phase of existence. If we're constantly on the treadmill of life trying to climb the ladder of happiness OR status, then every experience is intermediate & relative, one step into another of '...endless...' transitions? & yes, I will use the Richard Dawkins/Charles Darwin 6 million year analogy from a single cell evolution, to our current complex machine states capable of creation (skycrapers) &/or mass destruction (bombs/hate/neo-conservatism/isolation/depression/loneliness).
