This band with base in Brno has started to play in September 2004. This month three friends from highschool found the band (Members: Martin Ekl - drums, Martin Nowak - guitar, Pavel Lasnovsky - bassguitar). After a few auditions a new guy, Lukas Lasnovsky (Pavel's brother) alias "Calwi", acceded and became band's frontman.
Because of disparities between the guitarist Martin and band, in May 2005 he was substitued for Honza Racil alias "Larwogn". He has been visiting some internet music forums and things like that and the band found his opinions well. In this members the band has been going to February 2008.
After few years, in spring 2008, because of disagreement of music, Larwogn was substitued for Marek Cibulka aka "Cibul". With new guitarist the band has started to make it's first own songs and at January 2009 issued first demo CD called Hardly Manageable Drug.
Spring 2009, band's got a new member, DJ Dummy. But because of DJ's personal utilization this cooperation has get over really soon and since september 2010, overhype is 4-members band again.
October 2010. The band's new debut CD Misstake issued!
overhype focuses on crossover coming from nu-metal and rapcore. Their favourite bands are Limp Bizkit, hed PE, Papa Roach, Incubus etc.
