Check out the third album by Nordgroove, the solo project by Yury Nesterov from Saint Petersburg. The album is named Nectar. It includes five downtempo tracks.
This fresh and juicy natural product is made of concentrated homemade acoustic and electronic samples. It came out tender yet hard; spacious yet deep; atmospheric and strong at the same time. Light downtempo tracks include a variety of shades and melodies where all the ingredients are melted together.
Nordgroove’s music has been favored by dozens of radio stations that included it in their broadcasts — Monte Carlo (Russia), DI.FM (World), Radio MAXIMUM (Russia), Radio 1 (Transnistria), Radio ECHO (Russia), KISS FM 2.0 (Russia), Radio Relax FM (Russia), Lounge FM (Ukraine), 6 Towns Radio (UK).
Nectar is Nordgroove’s second album released by Label Cuntroll. Here is what Nordgroove himself says about his album: “The release came out more lingering and hypnotic, so to speak. I wanted to move beyond the more live sound which was a characteristic of my earlier works. I tried to stick to my experience and background, including the blues and downtempo traditions, constantly filling the air with live sounds of guitars, brass and keys. At the same time, I tried to introduce some mainstream things and trends.”
