Биография

Listening to the ear-shatteringly vibrant, in-your-face tones of Electrovamp's single “Drinks Taste Better When They're Free”, it would be easy to assume that the duo were tough-talking booty bass electro-rock chicks … and you'd be right! In fact, they're two of the sexiest, sassiest, stunningest sisters from somewhere unpronounceable in South Wales who just happen to have enough attitude for the entire country!

Kally (18) and Tammy (19) met when they were born – they're sisters! Barely out of nappies, the girls used to jump up and down on their beds miming to Wacko Jacko hits until Tammy banged her head on the ceiling – she was on the top bunk! After Kally reluctantly gave up her ambition to be a petrol pump attendant, they formed Electrovamp.

They've been working on their debut album their whole lives. “It's a concept album which covers a weekend. The storyline runs all the way from meeting a guy on a Friday night right up until the hangover hits on the Sunday!” explains Tammy. “It's like the soundtrack to our lives and it's all about the things that we do,” continues Kally, “we love doing things like going shopping on a Saturday afternoon, getting ready to go out for the evening and go mental. We know other people our age will be able to identify with it.”

“Drinks Taste Better When They're Free” is also the lead track from the upcoming blockbuster film “How To Lose Friends And Alienate People” starring Simon Pegg and Kirstin Dunst and will soon be filling dance floors from Hackney to Hull. And if you've been searching for a new soundtrack to your weekend, fear not, because it's on its way.
