Definitely one of about 10 if not 5 Death Metal albums that someone looking for the absolute best in the genre should pick up to get hooked. Unlike a lot of Tech Death, Nespithe never strikes the listener as "wanking off" or being gratuitous with its progressive elements, and always retains its forward momentum and balls. But at the same time, it's also stunning in how ambitious and progressive it is. A very difficult balancing act to achieve, and one that very few bands have ever managed to pull off over the full length of a record, but Demilich did it flawlessly here. Just fantastic, endlessly appealing stuff that doesn't have a wasted note or moment anywhere. An all time great right here!
