Having just recorded their fifth, as yet untitled studio album, Minneapolis power-pop five-piece Motion City Soundtrack will be hitting the road in August on a tour entitled "4 Albums. 2 Nights. 7 Cities."
As the tour's name suggests, Motion City Soundtrack will be will be playing their entire four-album catalog (2003's "I Am The Movie," 2005's "Commit This To Memory," 2007's "Even If It Kills Me," and 2010's "My Dinosaur Life") from start to finish, over the course of two nights, in seven different cities.
The five-piece will tour across a string of major U.S. cities, starting with West Coast sets in Los Angeles and San Francisco, and finishing up in Detroit, after hitting New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Cleveland along the way.
Motion City Soundtrack is aiming for a spring 2012 release for their newest album, which they co-produced with producer Ed Ackerson in their hometown of Minneapolis.
