Howdy comrade! Well, I've been listening to a lot of ethnic and world music and particularly the recordings of this interesting figure: Deben Bhattacharya. Lots of Afro-pop from the 70's and 80's and then drone and ambient stuff. Will message you some recs/links! And you, what you listening to?

Oh, hi, well I haven't been up to much. I am studying philosophy for the second year now, there's a hundred possible projects in my mind, but not enough time. Recently I was deeply into the mystical philosophy of Meister Eckhart. Thinking of studying him in more detail. What have you been up to?

Potentially. I've talked to about three Australians since I talked to him and all of them have said it's not nearly as bad as he claimed. A stable economy is certainly an admirable thing at the moment... England's pretty expensive by comparison to most of Europe as well... Hopefully (but not particularly realistically) it'll all sort itself out soon enough. Everyone in England is even grumpier than usual....

Well, as simple as I can possibly make it: I did creative writing this year, but I found it a bit irritating, so I intend to do history or philosophy next year... But I'm doing it through this thing which allows it all to go towards a degree, so I'm not starting my university education all over again. How is Melbourne? I've heard talk from some Australians (albeit Adelaide residents) who claim it's pretty boring in Australia, how do you find it?

I'm from England, my university education is fairly odd even by English standards and explaining it all its nuances might ruin my mystique. Ah I hate it when that happens, I listened to Joe's Garage by Frank Zappa yesterday morning for the first time in two years and ended up feeling crappy all day.... The lousiness inspired me to do some writing though, so that's something at least... (I'm not quite as pretentious as that makes me sound, I write to escape, not to impress...I mention it just in case you have methods of overcoming misery too)

well hopefully I will be able to go (if you look at the other account you can see most of the swans plays and a whole ton of xiu xiu plays so er uh yeah, there's that) but there may be other inhibiting factors. But i've seen m.gira solo anyway so it wouldnt be too crushing to miss it (plus I opted to get the live dvd when "we rose..." first came out, which is no substitute but———————

Melbourne. Amazing. I've always wanted to travel the World, in general: Europe, Japan and Australia, but i can't afford it now :( Australia always truly attracted me, and I've heard that my relatives live there, maybe it's not true, but I've heard :D And what about Russia, rumors about people of colour are exaggerated.

What are you supposed to be studying? I have finished my education for Summer now, so I'm kicking back today and tomorrow... Gotta work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for money to buy music :D I really like "Soundtracks For The Deaf" by Swans, but I find it very hard to listen to it... I find it's a bit too nihilistic for my poor over-thinking brain to bear... Especially when I am miserable anyway. I do have Filth/Body To Body, Job To Job as well, but I haven't given that as much of a go as yet.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm also very interested in religion and theology especially from an emancipatory and theoretical point of view even though I'm an atheist. Glad religion is not a stigma for you, so you can maintain a relationship of interest with it. I actually think the religions of the Book made a very important positive break in our world and was not a catastrophe as many neo-pagans nowadays claim. I studied the religious history of my country quite in detail, back in 16th century it was a melting pot and one of the most tolerant places in Europe, even a lot of the Christian sects denouncing Christ and authority were tolerated.. for some time at least, haha.

I don't want the whole world to lay its eyes upon me, so I try to ignore all those massive social networks. I'm not yet a student, but soon I'll be. I'm a radical leftist, communist as they call me, I have no love for destruction, but I destroy out of love, haha. So I do all I can to subvert the system. I'm going to major in philosophy. Well.. you know most of the rich European history is about domination of the Others. You have to throw off the chains of national identities etc. to see the true legacy of Europe and it's the egalitarian movements, the anticipatory seed. The culture in Lithuania is very Catholic due to our history. They even call it the land of Saint Mary, haha.
