miles has no shame at all when it comes to self promotion...my favourite pair of tights is permanently stretched in the crotch area because of him (but i guess it was worth it to see him in them). I mentioned to him that you'd written a song called 'This Year I'ma Dress Like T-Pain', but it's probably not your best...also, miles, you should be showing people stuff from that shagu edits ep ya nonghead (I can't remember what the EP is called because it's on my other laptop).

Hey, carolyn was telling me about some of your stuff - sounds cool! link me up, yo. and what would an introduction be without a little shameless self promotion. http://soundcloud.com/mammalsvsreptiles/the-restaurant-pre-master take care.

Mark your calendar. Today is a huge deal. It's been exactly 18 months since I scrobbled last. I thought you should be the first to know.

it's cool, i got it (the bad thing). weird, i expected our time difference to be more out of wack, i'm about to start that 3am-7am bracket. but at least you get things done in that time, right? it's the only time i ever get anything done. i'm youtubing dr dog right now...yes.it's strange alright. like quite a few things you show me, it usually takes me a while to realise how genius they really are...i think this will dawn on me soon. it reminds me of something they play at the end of some movie from the 70s while everything's in slo mo...anyway, hope you're well. good luck with college applications. i honestly don't understand what it is about your college system that can make it so hard, so if you feel like ranting to anybody then i'm all ears. university is nice and i'm glad i'm studying, but it's also a very frustrating place to be holed up in (lots of talking goes on at uni, little doing), and i suspect it might be even more so for you. don't want to deter you, just warn you...

Just read your comment about Madita's Unspoken on the entry-page. Absolutely have to agree with you. I remember hearing the preview online (and being horribly disappointed that it was an iTunes exclusive) and thinking that the new album would be great... much to my disappointment. From the new album I took away Karma and in particular A Walk, and that was it.

and there i've gone and blabbed about completely pointless shit, which brings me to what i was supposed to talk about: glasto and 'life'. my life is pretty useless/pointless right now and i'm a blob at the moment (as usual), but i'm resolving to be a more productive member of society. I'll talk about that some other time,so bye for now, there are two parrots in this hotel lobby i'm sitting in that are really screeching on my nerves...plus this london 'heat wave' has made me pretty damn tired. I hope you're taking care...you and your friends always seem to be on the 'wrong' side of the law, so i hope that stuff sorts itself out. And your fever. My uncle is an expert on malaria (and totally won two gates foundation grants for it, yep i'm bragging right now), so he can totally help you out there...

...goddammit, i just wrote you another post and lost it because of this stupid gadgetphone i'm using which won't tell me how many characters i've used, goddamn character-limit creator...i could totally write an essay about how the internet is all about trying to control what you do...in fact i already did, but with an opposite conclusion, anyway you must think i'm some OCD freak for keeping within limits, the reality its a weird habit you get from both writing a lot of essays and being a stingy but compulsive sms-er (and thank god i'm not a twitterer). Apparently you guys in the usa dont send text messages/sms's...which is totally weird cause it's the ultimate form of communication and break-up message over here. Whereas...wtf is a pager? Beeper? Do you guys still use those things?...

baaaaahh, glastonbury was the bestest thing ever. If not a little lonely, and also semi crappy at the same time. I'm chilling out in london now, doing touristy shit like visiting cathedrals and art galleries and towers and medieval torture chambers...we've got a lot of time to kill. Anyway i hope you're doing okay with your busy schedule, you do sound burnt out...sounds like you need to win a holiday or something (i certainly didn't, but who ever deserves these things and actually receives them). Have you been to europe? I hadn't before so i'm kind of in awe of everything for being so nice and ancient and amazing and dense, not like australia. We're probably the least humanly populated area on the planet (apart from antarctica and the oceans of course)....

yo, so i totally saw Tinariwen and they were pretty damn cool. But my friend was annoyed the bassist fucked up her favourite song matadjem yinmixan by playing the same note the whole way through. also she was convinced that the guy with the afro wasn't there, because they were all in massive robes and veils so you could only see their eyes. Also there was no lady doing those awesome "lelelelelelelelelololololololol!" things. But they were really nice and awesome and had to put up with playing in a cavernous fancy hall where everyone had to sit down in their seats...it was a really unresponsive audience so they kept asking "it's okay?" until the hippies got out of their seats, and the chubby middle aged guys in suits, and there seemed to be a lot of lesbians too...and they started flailing their arms and jumping round like rag dolls, proving to everyone that white people just aren't cool and can't dance...but certainly know how to get into it. "I LOVE YOUS TINARIWEN" was the cry...

so i totally just saw the page for Beatseeker...I think I got through 4 paragraphs before my brain started going wonky, so I don't think I'll attempt reading the remainder of that after a good rest. i meant to reply to you a while back about Pivot and whatnot but I got a little distracted...but I do remember wanting to tell you about this cheesy 80s new age dude called Kitaro who is totally gay (not in an offensive to homosexuals way but in a i'm-retardedly-cheesy-happy-gay way), who, if i remember correctly, inspired O Soundtrack, according to Lawrence. Anyway I was wondering if that's what Beatseeker sounds like. It's what all Vietnamese ballad style pop music currently sounds like (yep they're still stuck in '85). And I thought this was pretty entertaining/totally balla (the comments too especially) and I wanted to share it with you. But, like your Beatseeker bio, I had to stop after it all became a bit too much.

Yoooo, too bad I don't even use this thing anymore (darn computer)! I added you on AIM though. I hardly use that either, but I've been bored lately so perhaps I will see you on.

most balla. i'm going to be saying that a lot from now on. you know what would be most balla. breakdancing in a panda suit to a laser show on a giant virtual keyboard. meanwhile a hydraulophone shoots out ginger beer into the audience. but you have to dodge the lasers james bond style otherwise (the rules are) you have to do something bad...like stand on your head while whistling the theme to star wars (but that will actually sound really cool because you're sending everything through your trusty Boss ME-50 and loop pedal). oh and i forgot to mention, your brain is hooked up to this computer that reads all your mind signals and converts your neural impulses crazy glitchy beats. i'm so bored. of course i'm not writing essays.

i hate you. so amazing. best 3 hours of my life (perhaps) and i danced non stop and fell in love with ellen and her tattoos. and modeselektor were gangsta, in a way that can only be good. my friend loved it so much that she was depressed for at least a month afterwards because she couldn't go back to that day. REALLY depressed. and then she started stalking Ellen on the internet...non stop...so that's how I know about the gig...i have strange friends. i kind of wish i was sober at the time so I could say for sure that i know they were amazing and i wasn't just off my chops (I can hardly remember Ellen's set). but i hope you have a ball...envy is eating me up

mmm Bolton may be a rock god, but i'm jealous of anyone living in LA because THREE gods are playing there in one room on one night, a friend and I considered flying over there just to see Ellen Allien and Modeselektor and Matthew Dear play together, oops thats 4 gods...so if that dance comp you mentioned had a soundtrack of any of those guys then maybe you're actually psychic and I might actually end up as a glowing coloured dancing blob somewhere in LA...if I win the lottery. anyway I'm starting to ramble...I don't even know how I got onto whatever topic i'm going on about...so i'll save my rambling for an email...shenanigans looks just right...
