Yeah, Slaid Cleaves has been creeping onto my radar of late as well. I'll have to check out the new one. the new Magnolia Electric Co. is growing on me. Didn't really like it at first. I'm loving the new Steve Earle Townes tribute album. Also quite liking the new Son Volt and Wilco albums. Don't mind the new Justin Townes Earle, but I don't like it as much as his previous efforts... I could go on ;-)

Just curious what it feels like listening to Brad Paisley in Seoul? ;-) I remember a couple years back listening to Elliot Smith on my iPod while I was walking down the strip in Vegas. Sorry, I probably misunderstood your question... I had been paying $125/month for phone (w/call display + voicemail), cable (which I suspect is going to go up significantly now with the HD) and hi-speed internet. Not a bad deal, I think, and all on one convenient bill (I'm all about convenience ;)

I haven't got a bill yet. The guy I bought the TV from said it would only be an additional $10/month, but when I look at all the new channels I seem to have, I'm thinking it has to be more. I'm bracing myself... (Looks great tho.)

Yo Smo. Don't know if you caught Calexico on Austin City Limits on Saturday (friggin brilliant - and I just got HD from SaskTel - which put it over the top). I picked up The Man From God Knows Where last year. I like the historical concept... Put the entire album into iTunes, yet still have had a hard time getting my arms around it. As a concept album, it's better when I can pay attention to the entirety, as opposed to Random Tracks. Wouldn't want to pay by the track, lots small stuff but all together it works.

I wasn't blown away but it was still pretty damn entertaining. The opening act didn't show up, so EB started early & played for nearly two hours... which I think was good and bad.
