And how about this twister? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKuo60LQfnQ Some people say, that Czech sounds like cough. But it depends on the pronunciation, my friend (her mother is from Czech and father from France) says that Czech sounds much more sweeter and friendlier than usual French. It is interesting, how Czech language is easier and easier but still very difficult. We had many times until reform in 15. century by Jan Hus. He also started using "š" instead of "sz" (Polish still use it) and others. Em0 people now use two letters instead of one, too. I really hate it, but I am interested if it's going to survive and modify Czech. 15 cases? OMG... That's a world record, isn't it? I've enjoyed it, but the weather was rainy and German language is almost unsingable, it sounds really weird and unpronounceable when singing (for example words made from 4 parts, singed very fast). How did you enjoy your holiday?

Ha ha, I wanted to write the same, I've been for 2 weeks in Germany, out of Internet, out of space :-) "ř" is very uncommon in languages, only Czech language and some African language uses it. This guy on the video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhp2Von-KpY - is not Czech and he doesn't pronounce it very good, but it was the only one I could find. Some dictionarie also describes pronunciation of ř as "rough approximation is r with simultaneous sh or zh; pull your tongue back a little, press your jaws together, the tip of your tongue should vibrate loosely". In Czech, both is problem, we have many categories for words how they will be inflected, depending on gender, liveness and ending. And with 7 cases many Czech people have problem, and they live with that language for their hole life... And for foreign people it is much harder to learn, because they must also learn the differences between "common spoken" and "standard" language, which differs in inflecting.

Yes, but in this case you have to use an eyeglass to find the original parts... And can you pronounce "ř"? It is quite similar. Czech has 7 declensions, maybe that's the most difficult for the foreigners, but it brings many variations to the language, in some cases you can use more declensions to express the same thing, it gives you many variations in poetry and not only in poetry. In Czech we also use SVO, but you can use SOV, mostly in poetry and it still sounds archaic, uncommon and weird. And only if object is much more important than verb. But usually we don't use subject in sentences, it is described by the form of the verb. So we use VO/OV when verb/object is more than object/verb. I tried to find some way how to express it, but I cannot say anything generally, because if you change only one thing in sentence, it has new meaning. I've never thought about Czech this way, I've never analysed it, I've just used it.

Hurry up, they are repairing Charles Bridge, but it's more a demolition than a reconstruction, they completely ignore original medieval technologies, some of the stones got lost... I think, that I get lost everywhere and it doesn't depend on country or a city, I just have bad orientation sense... Like: "strč prst skrz krk"? You're good, many people have problem with this. I like languages, too, I learn English from my childhood, also French in school (but after three years I wouldn't be able even to buy order some meal in restaurant), German in free time (but it usually ends like German asks me, if I speak English) and I am starting learning Latin in school after holidays. Does it differ too much from modern Italian?

I live in Prague. Have you ever been to Prague? Where do you live? I've been to Venice and Bibione. Venice is very nice and it's very easy to get lost there. I wanted to go to Central post from the St. Marco square, so I looked on the map - the way was quite straight. And after half an hour I walked a circle and got back to St. Marco :-)
