Saw your shout on LD's page. I'm glad they shifted back toward this sound. Wasn't really feeling Ritual Union as much as the early stuff. I know it brought them some new fans, though so I'll excuse it, lol. Ahhh, man..Pink Cloud is my shit. Yukimi's voice...unreal. See you're up on the Sza, too. She's definitely dope. Ur and Warm Winds are my favorite off that EP.

Hey there, hope you're doing well! Just wondering if you'd heard anything you liked lately, and also wondering if you could recommend some Björk stuff for me? I noticed you've got lotsa listens that way :)

Hey! I've casually listened to twigs, but not enough to form an opinion. I will say that her music didn't immediately intrigue me as much as most of the R&B girls I listen to. I'll probably try another try, though! I really enjoy Jessy Lanza, who's another experimental R&B girl. She's layered with A LOT of electronic production, but if you already like Kelela, I figure she may be appealing. I'm a huge fan of blending genres, and really like electro-undertones, so she's really great in my opinion. (Also, she's one of the only white girls in R&B that I love wholeheartedly.)

Okay great, thanks! I'll listen to the first two Noisettes albums in order, I guess. :) Also, yeah, Kelela's like top 5 for me most days. I've been bumping her stuff since I found out about it through the Saint Heron compilation. And the funny thing is, I actually saw Ego Ella May on your listens and decided to check her out earlier today! I LOVE Breathing Underwater, and actually bought it on Bandcamp after one full listen (I mean, I did only pay 83 cents....) Will definitely be looking into the 2013 EP of hers. A girl who sounds a good deal like Ego Ella May is Ari Lennox. Her EP Ariography is free on Soundcloud, and I definitely recommend giving it a listen or two. Some songs, like Cascade and La La La La, have been personal favorites of mine for a while now. I'd be interested to see what you think of her, since most of my friends think her voice is a bit too much (however, it's very similar to Ego Ella.) Happy listening!

Hey! Thanks so much for friending me, and leaving the kind compliment! I really love your library as well. I've been meaning to listen to The Noisettes for a while. Do you have song/album recommendations?

Outside of the Zo! feature (Count to Five) and her co-production on ScHoolboy Q's Collard Greens, I'm not up on her yet. Should I get familiar???

That's my jam! The rest of the mixtape makes me go to sleep but that song is dope. Are you up on Mingus Murray? Sampha? Blood Orange?

The Internet is the truth! I got into them around the time their first album dropped. The new one is a marked improvement-- the debut is tight even if it sounded demo-ish at times. Syd's voice and image don't match, huh? LOL. Her voice is so delicate and soft. I also enjoyed Janelle's latest. More accessible but still energetic and inventive. My beloved J*Davey....well, Brook is still touring with Miguel. Jack dropped a solo EP last year. I really hope they drop a new album in the new year.

You pretty much took the words out of my mouth. Warriors is my ish. The second half is kinda just there to me. I didn't understand the backlash MAYA received. I loved its energy. What else have you been listening to lately?

Maybe not then. Either way, it doesn't matter, all that matters is that we are BUDZ now.

I'm pretty sure there was a particular reason I did, I just can't remember it. Something tells me it was something to do with D'Angelo. Do you like D'Angelo? Does that seem accurate?

I heard of that group, but have not listened. They don't sing in English, do they? Any songs or albums to recommend me?

Of course, they are all the works of Robin. So you are more of a Quadron (Coco O.) fan, her voice is so sensual and blue sometimes.

Hey, I saw your shout on the Owusu & Hannibal page, just a beginner for their one and only album. What do you think of them compared with Quadron and Rhye?
