I knew for a while he'd end up to be one of my future obsessions. I can see that I even shouted something about Scott here in your box in 2016. I had already listened to a couple of his albums before his death, but after that I've been really addicted. I absolutely love all of his styles, Tilt and Scott 4 are my favourites, but the 80's Nite Flights and Climate of Hunter are incredible as well. I've got Scott 4, Tilt and Bish Bosch on vinyl now! That last album is just an incredible work of art. Wish he'd had the time to do a couple more.

Every time I see your name on some shoutbox Bowie's "Blackout" gets stuck in my head... Kiss you in the rain... Is your nickname inspired from that song?

You need to check this out. Goosebumps all over. Felt like I was in the room with Paul! Amazing story. Magical. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IlPQA29jTc

Saw your comment: "Bowie's last reference to 1984 - "I'm sitting in the chestnut tree". I just got this reference and it's rather unsettling..." Damn! You're right. That's pretty poignant.

Fragile, Downward Spiral, Ghosts, With_Teeth, Year Zero. His OST stuff (As Trent Reznor with Atticus Ross) is pretty good too.

Outside is fantastic, I don't mind the segues. They're kind of too artsy though, so yeah I tend to skip them. By the way, I just listened to Never Let Me Down in one sitting, and surprised to say, I really enjoyed it! Solid pop album. I don't know why it's regarded as trash. What do you think?

Yup, the I don't care for the title track either. It's just sad how the rest of the album is so overlooked. What do you think of Outside by the way?

I see you haven't listened to Buddha of Suburbia a lot. It's a shame that nobody seems to listen to it, I guess it's because it's marketed as a soundtrack. Far worse albums like Tonight and Never Let Me Down are more bought in the itunes store that Buddha - Buddha is in the last place of purchases. It's really a fantastic album, Berlin-trilogy level instrumentals there! To be fair, I haven't listened to it terribly much either, but it's definitely fantastic and I plan to listen to it a lot more in the future.

Zappa was a brilliant songwriter who made fun of other kinds of music and Jeff is a guitar virtuoso who uses various kinds of music as a background for his soloing, so I guess they are similar in a way. Check out the classic albums Apostrohe (') by Zappa and Truth by Jeff Beck with Rod Stewart on vocals, also Jeff's magnum opus Blow By Blow. You may either love or hate Flash: I love it but Scruffy hates it, but if you like it you should be able to enjoy his entire discography. As for the rest of Zappa, you'll have to ask someone else. Happy listening!

I had that album once =) But then I ate certain candies that looked like worms and I got... strange, stupid feelings in my hands and I can't listen to that album ever again because that nasty feeling comes back, physically and mentally :D

Well, it's been a few years since I listened much to her. I can easily hear how Kinu No Michi on Mikko is structually somewhat similar to The Motel. And the titletrack itself reminds me an awful lot of Wild is The Wind (forgove me if it is a cover, I do not speak japanese), but they were released in the same year from what I can see. Besides that, I have an eerie sensation that I might've been high when I wrote what you quoted. My enthusiasm probably got the best of me.

Just fucking pains me that the creator of the greatest song made is not with us anymore.

I'd have to listen to it again because I haven't listened to it in ages. But the only songs that I really didn't like it were Tumble and Twirl and Dancing with the big boys. It's not as bad album that people claim it to be.

I still have to stop and actually listen to the entire album, I didn't had the time to really appreciate, I have just listened it really quick, for what I've listened it isn't a bad album, but it isn't a "game changing" one, it was a nice goodbye gift for us though... I am saying this but it's not like I am a Bowie expert lol, I mean, I know someone who scrobbled Moonage Daydream more than I have scrobbled Bowie in general.

It is kind of, I mean its pretty good but I have been listening to that one because its Liveat Nassau Coliseum, theres a lot of other good songs but theyre not necessarily of the Station to station. The ones I like are Rise and fall of Ziggy stardust and the spiders from Mars, hunky dory, station to station, alladin sane, heaten and space oddity How about you?

That's a pretty good analysis: I think I like the most: Time Will Crawl, Never let me down, Glass spider, Shining star.

=) I found it interesting that your most listened album is Bowie's Never let me down, which isn't very... respected among the fans :p

You're the first one to comment on that, very cool! The first Sly game's soundtrack wasn't too special, but after that Peter McConnell hopped in. He's made the music for Sly 2-4 and most Double Fine and Lucasarts games, such as Grim Fandango. His OSTs are recorded with huge orchestras, and I think the album on my top is the best game soundtrack I've heard. It's just a shame it's not very popular, but the Grim Fandango OST is more recognized at least. I've actually made a short playlist to feature the album for anyone that's interested: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEVPfx7Vuxo7gUZV8BonsBtHvsE1slj5o Also, Bowie's Never Let Me Down has a few absolutely fantastic tracks, such as the title track and Girls. I love those songs to death, but overall a very mediocre album.
