I see what you mean about the new October Tide album . I have mixed feelings on "A Thin Shell" . On one hand, I did think it was a good album, but on the other I feel like it was just too different compared to "Rain Without End" and "Grey Dawn" . I am definitely in agreement with you, "Rain Without End" is definitely the best October Tide album . It has that same great and classic quality that the Doom Metal era of Katatonia had .

Indeed, Ophis is an awesome band . I really like their "Withered Shades" album . October Tide is amazing, especially their first two albums . Did you know that they're releasing an album soon ? Daylight Dies is another great band . I actually own copies of all of their releases except "A Frail Becoming". I want to buy a copy, though .

Yeah, I noticed that "Silence No More" is a straight up Gothic Metal song . I found it interesting to hear a song that only featured clean singing for the male vocals, considering "Through The Eyes of a Mad" had very small amounts of his clean vocals . I personally liked the clean parts in their debut album, but "Silence No More" was definitely my least favorite from the three new songs that I've heard from their album . Thankfully, the other two tracks have assured me that they aren't dropping the Doom from their music . I suppose we'll have to wait and see when the album is released to find out if his clean vocals are used a lot more on the new material . On another note, I see that you are from Germany . Are you at all familiar with the German band Ophis ?

I actually only listened to the songs very recently . Are "Allergic Sun", "Let Me In" and "Silence No More" the songs that you're referring to ? As soon as I heard news of the album title "Glad to be Dead", i tried searching for info on the album and I found a rar file that said it was a promo for the album . It contained the three songs I listed .
