Can't say I get this classification....is it referring to bands like Spock's Beard and Shattered Skies that have pop influences?

i’d say a great example to explain this genre would be RPWL, due to some of their songs like “Unchain the Earth”, which, while definitely progressive, has a certain Popular appeal to it
