“Inspired by True Events” is Tori Kelly’s 3rd studio album, though many of the songs themselves have been previously performed. As the album title suggests, the entire album is based off of the lives of her and those around her. We see talk about her marriage in “Pretty Fades”, “Language” and possibly “Change Your Mind”. She speaks about growing up in “Kid I Used to Know” and “Pretty Fades”. Yet the songs are not just about her; for example, “Your Words” is a ballad about her late grandfather. All in all, Tori claims this album to contain some of her most vulnerable music to date that many have been looking forward to an official release.
