The band have spoken out on this sort of thing on a number of occasions. They got accused of being Nazis because they used Nordic runes in their artwork that also got used by the SS. The Swastika is thousands of years older than Nazism, so why should radicalism continue to dictacte its meaning?

Not to mention, I believe this song also tries to dispel the negative stigma that surrounds the swastika; just because some fascist nation in the past used it shouldn't deter anyone's religious beliefs from using the symbol. We should never forsake our ancestor's past icons just because some people's feelings will be hurt.

Swastika is not only a viking symbol. It has been found in almost every culture around the world.

This song's lyrics say all. Against all who label them as nazi/racists only because they're proud of their origins and heritage.

Maybe this song can be directed to the nazi/racists and to the paranoid antinazi/racists too. But, if you're racist, you don't understand modern science.

OK the way I see it... part of the song addresses the paranoid people who label them as Nazis/racists because of their pagan themes, while the rest of the song is a diss to the Nazis/racists themselves.

in addition to that they directly address racism with these lines "You who think the hue of your hide means you get to blame The black for your own faults and so bring humanity shame Make sure you count me out of the ranks of your inbred morons" so... i don't think, that you can interpret this song in another way :)

@Luso87 Well... I wouldn't go so far as to say that they are saying we should "forget once and for all about the past," because that would be pretty irresponsible and stupid. But as for the rest of it, I think that's how most people would interpret the song? I think it's a direct response to people calling them and other Viking metal bands white supremacists.

Uuh.. so am i the only one who interprets this song as them saying all paranoid antiracists to fuck off and stop comparing them to nazis, because just because they're proud of their heritage it doesnt mean they are nazis, and that it sucks that because of nazism you aren't really allowed to be proud of who and what you are if you happen to be white because you're immediatly labeled as a nazi, and that paranoid antifas and jews should just cut their shit out, chill and forget once and for all about the past?

This song is pure awesome, so fucking uplifting. And great subject matter too, nice to see they have the guts to say it.
