Transatlantic epics are still the best. This is great song, of course, Neal is master of the prog epics but for me songs like Stranger in your Soul, All of the Above, Duel with the Devil, Seperated Man, plus SB songs like At the End of the Day and Great Nothing are and always will be the best thing that ever happened in the music industry. Seeds of Gold is still new, and, i guess it will take some time, for me, to become a part of the ''divine list of epics of all times''. :) More i listenedto this song, it becomes better. Hope i will see Neal someday, solo or with Transatlantic, doesn't matter.

Not that it's not a great song, and not that i wouldn't rate it above 99% of the music i've ever heard, but i actually don't think this is one of Neal's better epics. I would certainly much rather listen to The Door, So Many Roads, or The Separated Man than Seeds of Gold. It has some brilliant patches, especially the parts with the vocals, and Steve Morse's bits, but i found a lot of the keyboard-dominated segments a little trying on the ears. I think if the bulk of the instrumental was guitar, acoustic piano, organ and strings, and mellotron and horns were added only for effect, it would have been more listenable. But hey, it's Neal Morse, and it's worth having.

Agreed! loved this on first listen, it had me after the first minute of the amazing piano segment that instantly reminded me of The Doorway. Everything after that was literally gold.
