Madlib follows "Flight To Brazil", with the third installment of the "Medicine Show" series and the 4th installment in his Beat Konducta Series: Beat Konducta in Africa. Previous entries include: "Beat Konducta, Vol. 1-2: Movie Scenes" (released in 2006), "Beat Konducta, Vol. 3 & 4: In India" (released in 2007) and "Beat Konducta, Vol. 5-6: Dil Cosby & Dil Withers Suite" (released in 2009).
Beat Konducta In Africa contains over 40 instrumental hip-hop tracks produced and mixed by Madlib. This epic "beat tape" springs from obscure vinyl gems culled from the afrobeat, funk, psych, garage rock, progressive rock and soul movements of countries as diverse as Zambia, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Ghana, Botswana and the Ivory Coast.
