The band was formed by Nicholas Leptos and Clement Fung in the United States. Leptos has since moved back to Cyprus. Since the release of the first album, Arryan Path was treated as more of a side project of Nicholas Leptos next to Diphtheria and Prodigal Earth. In the years that followed, however, the project evolved into a full-time band and became Leptos' chief concern.
The band name was modified slightly to Arrayan Path in 2011 to avoid any confusion with the racial term "Aryan" and its associated connotations.
