Simon, where are you?

hi Simon, so sad to read that you wave the white flag of surrender yr Beat-surrender blog. 1000 thank you .Nonetheless I keep my eye on you . koppies is excellent.:o)

Apologies for the wall intrusion. I'm in a band that's made our first (and free) ep this year (already written another, not yet recorded) and thought based on your taste you miiiight enjoy it. https://pethates.bandcamp.com Cheers, and have a good day.

See you're getting into the new Pale Seas album. I love it!

Thanks for the request. Gladly accepted. The Kristin Diable disc came in the mail today. Not a mediocre song on it. Love it all. Have to see if any of her older stuff is still available. Playing your radio now, Simon. The first six songs that played, I'm stealing! Never heard of Courtney Barnett, Amanda Shires, Kid Wave, The School, and Haley Bonar. Liked them all! Thanks! A lot of new music to explore! Have a great day (or night)!

You're the top listener of Kristin Diable. I just discovered her. She is great. You've got good taste.

Hi, I usually visit all my lastfm-friends a bit closer to new year to check out what they have been listening during the last 12 months. And at the same time leave some tips on what I have discovered last year. But anyhow here I'm now.:D. Late in the year I found [artist]Caitlin Canty[/artist] thru Kickstarter. Other discoveries during the year was [artist]Lake Street Dive[/artist], [artist]Austin Lucas[/artist], [artist]Nora Jane Struthers & The Party Line[/artist] and [artist]Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors[/artist] A band I'm looking forward to see live is [artist]JP Harris & The Tough Choices[/artist] But I still come back to my old heroes [artist]Van Morrison[/artist] and [artist]Emmylou Harris[/artist]. Listened to almost all of their albums during 2014. Have a great 2015.

Cheers, you too

Excellent taste in music.

Thank you, you too, :)

Hi Simon! I don't log on here on a regular basis. So this is where you keep all your music tucked away in, nice array of artists :)

Love your blog.

Simon, I want to invite you to join a group I just formed. It's called Americana Artist Of The Week and I think you would enjoy it. http://www.last.fm/group/Americana+Artist+Of+The+Week

If I may chime in, I agree that was a nice review of Freedy's new album!

Thanks for the link ... it was a nice read. Cheers

Hi Simon any thoughts on Rain On the City, Freedy Johnston's new release.

Hi Simon, Daniel [user]dtito2[/user] recommended me your blog and I'd like to say thank you for your great Kathleen Edwards entry. Why don't you post a link to your blog in the KE-group [group]Kathleen+Edwards[/group]?

Merry Christmas and a happy new year!!!!!

Hey Simon, I was just listening to The Jayhawks (live session from Lost Highway) that you posted on your blog awhile back. It is a very good session! ...Thanks

Hehehe. I'll bet! (I'm a bit of a fan of those Mules as well.) I think maybe what today's indie roots/americana scene has in common with all those great UK bands of the late 70's and early eighties is just, I dunno, immediacy, honesty, integrity, something. In some intrinsic way I don't know that the Jam and the Wrinkle Neck Mules are all *that* fundamentally different...

Hey Randy, thanks for the kind comments. It was an interesting journey from The Jam to The Wrinkle Neck Mules :)

Hi there. I was just over reading your "Beat Surrender" blog (not sure how I got there, I think I linked to it from a No Depression post or something). I was a huge Jam fan waaaaay back in the day and it was a blast reading your reviews of their old albums. I'm looking forward to reading more of your blog in the near future. Keep up the good work! Cheers.

Thanks for accepting the friend request. Nice library!

Hi, Great play = super compatibility !?!?, What do think of Guy Clarks latest ?

Right on! Great taste in music, my friend.

Hi Amy, I've got some catching up to do on Okkervil River, what album would you recommend starting with?

We have "super" musical compatibility. Its like super powers, only different, or something.

Thanks for the add Si, welcome aboard as they say.
