I'm on my second week of vacation at the moment. Went to the seaside for a week to relax, now I'm at home where we're going through a partial renovation (been going on for over two months now so we're a bit tired and hoping they can wrap it up soon). Other than that, basically all the same 😅 Tell me more about your music: I listened to the songs yesterday and I quite liked them, what was your inspiration in creating them? Hahaha, yes XD Luimelia have stolen my heart back in June and I've felt compelled (and very powerfully motivated) to learn ever since. I need to understand what they're saying! The only drawback of it is that Spanish has completely drowned all of my Welsh and I really should try to get it back before I lose all of it. (Btw, fingers crossed for you! If not Spanish, then any language you deem worthy)

(So sorry i responded in my own shoutbox :p ) I hope you do, every new language is so fascinating to discover :D When it comes to pronunciation, thankfully I've been listening to so much Spanish over the past months that it just planted itself in my head :p However, I lack some basic grammar and vocab so it's still hard to speak (and frustrating when I can't express myself), but hopefully with time it'll get better

I know, sorry for that! Work is work as always, but now I've been learning Spanish since June, so some extra activity that keeps me occupied and engaged

Oh noooo, for some reason I thought you were talking about Killing Eve, not Gentleman Jack, sorry for all the spoilers! I know, the last scene was super upsetting and a bit nauseating, I'm eagerly awaiting the resolution. Don't know if you've seen the trailer for the new ep, but it's giving me a bit of hope.

I watched the finale!!! And I'm not that surprised tbh :P The whole season was leading to the kill (which was gorier than what I would have expected, but at least Villanelle had some fun ;)) and the hurting was bound to be mutual, she even shot her in (approximately) the same place she'd been stabbed. The firm rejection is giving me some thoughts, but it absolutely makes sense. Eve had no time to process, she's not ready for this kind of 'relationship', and definitely neither is Villanelle - she got way too angry. It couldn't work just yet, they need further development on their respective paths. I wonder what happens to them now, who'll help Eve, where Villanelle goes, when and where they'll meet next, etc. (Side note, I adore Fiona Shaw's Carolyn, it's so much fun when someone can scare you without ever raising their voice) As for Gentleman Jack, I have seen the news and am very excited for another season! I like minor characters as well, especially the servants. And the fact that things like poverty and child labour aren't being glossed over and Anne isn't some kind of hero landlord who forbids these because we now find them abhorrent. Also, her acknowledgement of the dog in the yard is such a nice touch ;) Btw, I want to read the diaries at some point, see how they are being followed plotwise, get to know more background etc. I also wonder if Ann Walker had anything similar so that her point of view is represented as well, I'll have to check. Btw 2, I'm temporarily heartbroken after the latest episode, but no (further) spoilers.

I just finished watching the last available Gentleman Jack ep and I really like it! I enjoy watching Anne intimidate men, she's such a good character. The music is pretty good as well.

Killing Eve is back! I don't want to go into details in case you haven't seen it yet, but they aren't even trying to be subtle

You know that I'll never be anywhere near objectivity when it comes to Root, but she seemed far less unhinged even at the very beginning, and she had (in my opinion) fairly well-developed life philosophy, and of course an amazing path before her. I guess we'll see about Villanelle. Jodie Comer is doing great job, so I'll have my hopes for the character. Just can't imagine she'd even want to be redeemed at this point.

Great! I'm also looking forward to what happens next. Luke Jennings mentioned that he'll be writing them getting together, which I don't think I actually want? I feel like any sort of relationship would mean either Eve getting darker or Villanelle going on a redemption path, unless I'm missing something, and neither sounds too great. However, there are so many aspects I can focus on instead that I can ignore it anyway. Btw, I bought and read the first book. It was very decent, but I think the show did a nice job in fleshing out the characters and adding a lot of humour that was sort of missing in the book, so I actually enjoyed it better.

Doing my best ;) I'm trying to catch up on some tv shows but keep getting distracted (however, I did watch One day at a time in one go yesterday, so - success), read as much as I can in between, and keep looking for new music on Spotify.
