i'll explain myself, so i don't sound like a dick. to me, radiohead constantly give the IMPRESSION of experimentalist music, without ever giving any actual substantial EVIDENCE of being avant garde or progressive. it's just pointless noodling and limp thematic content. muse on the other hand are just way too overblown to actually examine critically. i remember one review calling muse "elaborately masturbatory". But yes, to each his own, and i'm sorry for my last shout.
