I also like Zimmers bombastic tracks too. I became interested in OSTs because of his scores like, Crimson Tide, Peacemaker, The Rock etc. And Regarding the Dark Knight 2CD edition, on CD2 there also was like three remix tracks. I would of liked three more tracks from Zimmer instead of remixes... Same for the PotC -Dead Mans Chest- soundtrack which had a remix track too.

Yeah, 2008 was a great year for a zimmer fan :D The score for Dark Knight was really great. I really hope Zimmer releases great scores this year too :) I don't know what it is, but I saw "Angels & Demons" on Zimmers discography list for this year, so I think I'll be looking forward to how this will turn out.

Yeah, see, you have to listen to the entire first minute of the song. :) It varies. [tag]Power metal[/tag] generally doesn't have harsh vocals. Neither does 80's [tag]hair metal[/tag]. ;) [tag]Thrash metal[/tag] sometimes has harsh vocals, but more often the vocals are just, um, rugged. Symphonic metal bands without harsh vocals include [artist]Edenbridge[/artist], [artist]Lunatica[/artist], and [artist]Visions of Atlantis[/artist]. :)

Oh dear, you need some education. :-D I've never listened to Slipknot and I'm pretty sure they're not metal... the "Gothic Metal" tag is mostly there because people confuse it with symphonic metal, which is like hard rock mixed with orchestral film music. I love that. :) See if you like [artist]Within Temptation[/artist], they're pretty accessible and not very scary. :P

Haha! Well, I didn't grow up with wild roaches around (except for when I was in the Philippines, but I was too young to remember any roaches). I guess my perspective would be different if I had. :-P Madagascan hissing roaches aren't supposed to be eaten, people just eat them because they're relatively safe. They actually make quite nice pets. I was going to be an entomologist, but I decided to become a filmmaker instead... I'm doing a cicada documentary now, I'll send you a link when it's done. :P

Real roaches are cute too! Especially the Madagascan hissing ones. Yeah, a female score listener I am! Haven't heard much of R. Portman's Oliver Twist but you're right: she does have her style. But not too recognisable every time. Craig Armstrong is a good choice! :D
