I know, the Dirty Projectors track is incredible, I play it all the time! I really like all the first 10 or eleven songs on the album, and then it gets a bit patchy. All is well here on leeside, working hard on the business, networking like my life depended on it, trying to make the contacts I need to get it off the ground, so far, so good. It's not easy, but easy is no fun :) It's good to push yourself! How's things with you? Life of leis I'm very good at getting those lyrics you post on facebook, but I don't want to be showing off like :)

Hey Brian, haven't been talking in a while, thought I'd drop by. Got a recommendation for you, a compilation called 'Dark Was The Night'. It's savage, well worth checking out, it is a bit long and the second half isn't as good as the first but it's really good, I'm thrilled with it. Just as well because I was getting restless with all my music and was on the lookout for something interesting.

That's interesting, I really thought they'd be your bag Brian. I can definitely hear something in it, something that I like but it seems to be going over my head generally with all the overlayed, swirly madness. Uh-oh, do I sound like a Pitchfork reviewer? :)

Hey Brian, So I've been hearing lots about Animal Collective, had a quick listen.... is it boys music? I'm not sure I'd get it. The hype sorrounding it is incredible, I almost feel compelled to buy it.

See.... the recession isn't so bad afterall :) That's brilliant news, part of me would love to back to go back to college too but after 8 years of it I decided to call a halt to it at 24! I hear that WIT is a good college too. Regarding 'creative' design jobs... to be honest I'm a bit sceptical about that one. There isn't a single design studio in Cork I'd want to work in Brian, but I'm sure Dublin is different!

What are the chances that I would have two young college friends from Tramore? In my defense I will say that I had consumed a few glasses of wine at that stage, so was easily confused :) I'm surprised Progressive didn't get back to you, as you say, their loss. Any other design stuff on the horizon for you so?

Hey Brian... yeah you could say that I have time off alright... since I won't have a job to come back to in the New Year. Finishing up at Christmas. I was offered another design job with more money but have decided.... drumroll please..... to start my own little design business...yikes! 2009 will be all change for me :) So on a lighter note ... album of the year then?

Courtney Pine is playing in the Savoy, tickets are a bit steep though. There is a band playing called Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey (maaaan) and they are meant to be excellent. If I get to one thing, I'd say that'll be it. They don't sound like mental jazz either, if you know what I mean :) There's also a guy called Mark O' Leary playing in the Pavillion on the Sunday afternoon, he's meant to be good, but I'm not a jazz person really Brian, a liberal sprinkling of it is good though! I love October.... Film Festival, Jazz Festival, it's going to be great!

Nice one Brian, two more for you: La Roux: prince / hot chip / poplady. two excellent songs on myspace. Todd Osborn, 'Crimewave'. Un-fucking-believable tune. Cant find it online, but its played 15 min into second hr of last nights Small Hours. Gettit.

Forgot to say that Cut Copy were one of my big highlights of EP. I had never heard of them before, they put on some show though, amazing energy. I'd say the Dublin show will be brilliant.

I got completely obsessed with Fleet Foxes, cannot wait to see them. It must have been brilliant seeing them in Whelans. For some reason I'm not allowed accept you as a friend, i'll try later. Never took you for a Kila fan Brian! I suppose you could be listening to worse :)

I have many of those guilty pleasures. Lionel Richie's All Night Long is probably the best example bar all the cheesy dance stuff I'm not supposed to like :)
