my old LAST.FM profile is crying somewhere in the ether, now that my beautiful 'about me' sidebar has been stripped and discarded :( #huntfornewscrobbler

Looking forward to Trust after missing them the last two times (sort of). Don't be afraid to write on my wall, I prefer it! I think it makes me look popular.

I recommend you my favorite band, [artist]Ladytron[/artist]. You like Depeche Mode, New Order, Royksopp, so there's a big chance to like them too. Ladytron is simply the best female fronted electronic band ever. You could start for example with their Best of 00-10 compilation or their best studio album, Witching Hour. It's astonishing how many great songs they have...

Thanks. I remember seattle and olympia mostly, but I lived in seattle. Still, according to my tastes, portland is fantastic...This week I will play a lot of the prids in honor of your move : )

yes...they were very funny, what a blast from the past, mr. etherealmoment : ) The 90's were my best of times, I think, especially in the pacific northwest...

Right, I've been on a last.fm bender, I s'pose. When I'm at home it's usually on. Too bad about the cocteau twins...and you missing them in '94 !! ...yeah, I don't think I can forgive you for that either : ))

Thank you...happy we are friends. Your tastes are perfect, and they tell me to back off the British post-punk a bit and allow some room for other great bands like DCD, beach house, and crystal castles...and to check out cat power. Nice house. Cheers !

Hi! First - sweet library, and second - mesmerizing profile page. And I see you're on Spotify, too! Cool. Hey, so you heard the latest xx album, huh? I keep getting mixed reviews. What'd you think? (I see you've also heard the latest Dead Can Dance before me, too, but I trust that one's solid.)

Have you decided to go to Boomslang / Doomslang? By the way, Marissa Nadler makes wonderful music.

1) I did not see T&E movie. i had heard they would make one, but I never saw it. It si probably like the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie. that show is amazing when 15 minutes, but the movie was stupid. I'd imagine T&E is like that. 2) You only have [artist]Woven Hand[/artist] 3x in your library? you must give them more listens. the man is amzing and if you ever see them touring they are a must see. live performance is like bottled spiritual hurricane unleashed into a small club setting...seen them 3x in past 4 years. And he occassionally does Joy Division covers. And does Truth by New Order on The Threshingfloor

cool. Host of Seraphim yeah...i kind of agree. That song is basically a song to showcase her pipes. Honestly, I much prefer Brendan Perry over Lisa G. I saw her live a few years ago and...it's like eating too much frosting. after awhile you just get kind of sick of it. Same with Brendan on his own. If I had to pick one, though, I would pick his voice and style over hers. I did like the "bum bum .... bum bum" part of Host when played live. thought that was cool. I am still evaluating the new album, too. Not sure how much I love it. Not like Spirit Chaser or the first, Self Titled album. It's funny, I don't really know many of the names of the DCD songs. Been listening to them with regularity since 1986, but still don't know titles. :D

DCD played for over 2 hours. they did 4 encores. Don't leave until lights come on. Bunch of folks started leaving , cuz who does 4 encores? Then Lisa Gerrard came out. I was like "HA! SUCKERS!" One of the encores they did was Song of the Siren (This Mortal Coil) but with Brendan doing vocals. It was awesome. enjoy yourself

thanks for the post. 1) Are you beleaguered at the moment? 2) I have DCD tickets. they are playing at the Kimmel Center in Philly, which is where one goes to see symphonies. Long way from ratty theater shows. Means I am old. 3) Are you a fan of Grinning Plowman? they are (were) from Nashville I believe 4) most importantly....FOR YOUR HEALTH!
