i never quite told you lol. it's just my surname (slightly altered) +ban as in banned. i used to roam around facebooks groups and got banned, hence the additive. nowadays im more layed down and im proud to say i don't waste much energy on that type of behaviour no more.

(3/3) that's 4/6 resolutions that I'm working on. I have to find a better routine for improving my soloing. i can usually fly across the fretboard (i can't play fast, i just mean that i'm not stuck in one shape) as i think in intervals and scales as opposed to shapes. it fucking sucks having to rewire my brain to accentuate chord tones, cause like, THEY CHANGE SO OFTEN 😭. i wish i could stay in one scale forever, but i really want my solos to sound well thought out and have memorable and creative phrases that fit the chord progression. but yeah. i want to write music, but my amateur singing voice is what's holding me back from really writing and finishing things. harsh vocals would be something to work on maybe next year. but yeah. to be honest i just wrote this all out because i'm procrasticating studying for a calculus exam i have in 39 hours (i am NOT confident i could get a single one right with my current knowledge). thanks.

just finished listening to repitition and I loved it :) all of the instruments had something cool going on, and they were suprisingly tight. my favorites were Sensible, Message Recieved, Murder Movies, For Your Entertainment, and my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE was Lowest Common Denominator. I got fucking stank face at 1:09 on that track. Really cool album :)

great choice, I have a hard time choosing, but I think I'd have to go with Sleep by Godspeed You. Though Structures from Silence by Steve Roach is pure bliss too. And Bigmouth Strikes Again deserves a mention as well, most of my favourites are long pieces because they have more time to evolve and build up, but this is just a perfect little 3 minute track.

despite being really depressed at the start of the year, i've been rediscovering joy in my life again, that and a lot of support of my girlfriend and family. i got into a band with some college friends, it's pure grunge. i'm more of a post-hardcore type of guy but i really like it, i'll make sure to somewhat spread the music when we publish it, but we have something good in our hands. college is great, but now i'm on summer break so there isn't much to do, so if you have something to recommend i'll be glad to know Bv

i make my own bootleg cds of records that aren't on streaming (photoshop the covers, inserts, print them and put them in the cases n whatnot). i have the image files for the ghost pop tape, as well as all the songs ready to burn. i just need to get around to doing it, and i'll listen to it then :) as for boris and black midi, it's hit or miss. i've only been to one concert ever, and it was a black midi concert. their vocalist is unique (a LOT of people don't like his voice), and he plays guitar with insane dexterity (despite the fact that not a single song of theirs has a guitar solo). they'll never get as loud and raw as they did on their debut record, so if you're looking for NOISE, go there. otherwise, their latest record may be the finest of the decade so far, so check it out if you want :) but yeah i'll let jpeg marinate in my ears for a while, thanks for the interaction :D
