i dont know much about them, haven't looked into them in a couple years at least, but i love that song. it's the only thing i've heard from them (got the single in a lot of soul/funk/jazz 7" and LPs i bought a few years ago), except for the bizarre b-side "just my salvation" which is a cover of "just my imagination", but with gospel lyrics. i see on here that they're from monroe, MI, which is cool. i can rip the record for you at some point, the studio version is great.

whoa how'd you come upon that Rance Allen Group song? is it well-known? i have the 7" but i couldn't find much on them when i looked. record sounds really good pitched up 3% or so (but what record doesn't?)

ya, cuz chicago never gets any good acts, ever. actually, i just looked at laserbeast and they're stopping at the same midwestern cities they went through in april '07. it is making me very sad that i can't follow them around like the doe-eyed fangirl i once was (kindofstillamohgodtheshame!)
