I tend to remember my music tastes well because to me music reminds me of diffrent time periods in my life. Slipknot, for example, reminds me when I was 16 and in high school, trying to be a "rebel"and hating the world and everyone in it lol. I remembered I wanted to be badass and wear black and get spikes, chains and a leather jacket. Funny thing is all that didn't really fit my personality. I am very passive and calm, but I do tend to have outbursts when my anger reaches its limits. I am extremely patient though and it takes alot to anger me. When I was 16 people said metal makes people violent and stuff like that, I wanted to punch them for saying stupid statements like that! Other bands spring many memories into my mind, when I listen to them I go back to a time period when I was in love with that band. Lamb of God takes me to when I was 17, just a bit later after slipknot and many bands evoke similar feelings.

Its awesome that you enjoy metal, especially the heavier subgenres. If you can appreciate the gem that this music is, more power to you. I like to play my music on my PS3/computer but my family doesn't like it, especially my father. I tend to put it somewhat loud at times though on the PS3 since it is connected to a nice TV in my parents house(when I go visit them). It shouldn't be to hard to convert a folk lover into heavier metal. If your friend likes Ensiferum or Eluveitie its only a few steps down from death metal. The first heavy bands I listened to, well heavy in the sense of harsh vocals, were Lamb of God, Chimaira, Dark Tranquillity and In Flames. In a way melodic death metal was my first extreme metal love, after falling in love with groove metal it didn't seem too far of a step. I think either melodic black or melodic death is the right gateway to the extreme metal love, I'm not sure if you had a similar expirience! My friend who listened to folk also turned to Black Metal.

I used to be very close-minded about music when I was younger but I can appreciate other types of music nowadays. There are some latin pop and k-pop artists I listen to on occasion. I would like to have a broader musical taste but I seem to have an addiction on metal, particularly black and doom metal. About 2 years ago I actually wanted to delete all my music ibrary and only download music that appealed to others- completely changing my taste, yeah it was a crazy idea and I didn't get through with it but at least it opened me up to new music. None of my friends like black metal, they seem to like other metal subgenres like metalcore, folk, and power metal. I recently began going to concerts some years ago and discovered other people who like similar music though.

Nice, I remember the first time I listened to Slipknot I thought to myself "This is the heaviest shit evur!", the first song I listened to was People=Shit from Iowa. During those days I also liked Linkin Park and Evanescence too, I guess they were the first music I fell in love with. Pop music never appealed to me, even when I was a kid. The first real metal band that someone introduced me to after Slipknot was Lamb of God, and then they became "the heaviest band"for me. I mostly got introduced to metal by internet friends who liked anime, my real-life friends didn't like metal at the time, but now they sorta do lol.

That is a very nice picture, your musical compatibility is also high with me. Metal music is lovely in my opinion, I can't live without it. I started to listen to it when I was 16 and Slipknot was one of my favorites.

Thank you for accepting my Friend request! I'd like to invite you to join my friends-only group [group]Chez Musinum[/group], a hub for artists, group leaders, and passionate listeners. If you have an artistic presence here, it will be connected with the group (or one of two sister groups, depending on listenership) and your music will stream on one or more of our Artist Radios. As an added inducement, you can be Minister of anything you like in our entirely fanciful Chez Musinum Cabinet. Hope to see you there!

Its just that when I have early shift I go to bed very late and get up very early... Don´t know whats wrong with me xD But every morning I regret. But I don´t learn from that mistake hahahaha And then sometimes after work I fall asleep on the couch. But tomorrow I don´t have to work, so I can sleep as long as I want muahahaha ;) What kind of pics do you make? And what time is it over there?

I see you don't have a lot of Moonsorrow plays, so I have to recommend anything from the albums Verisäkeet and V: Hävitetty. You might also like the group Dalriada. More into black metal, Farsot is fantastic, specifically the song Thematik: Trauer, while my favourite black metal act has to be Taake. For something a little lighter, I was really into Fejd for a while. And to completely change gears, Mechina is fucking fantastic. Been trying to branch out to other genres, but there is just so much shit to sift through to find something good.

True, on Internet you can meet people with same tastes, but they are too far, I experienced this many times... It's always like that! Anyway, we can chat easily :)

Lars is very humble, we can speak with him easily, I like that! Girls who listen to that kind of music are rare, I don't know any IRL :) I'm glad to see that they don't all listen to commercial music :p
