I saw Midlake too last year and even though I quite like their music, the constant sight of Tim Smith with his sad puppy look all through the gig ruined it a bit for me. Be sure to check out John Grant, he made an album with them that is sure to make it into my top list of 2010. And as for Jonsi, you are in for quite a treat. I found the album good (but not better than Sigur Ros) but his live 'experience' is really well done... Any recommendations from your library?

If you like Martha Wainwright, you will probably like Neko Case's "Middle Cyclone" album. I've had it on repeat recently.

Oh I love Frightened Rabbit and so glad I got to see them at Laneway. There were only 30 people at the stage, everyone else was at Mumford. It was great he was chatting to everyone and they still played their hearts out. Didn't realise they are doing a Melbourne sideshow - nice one.

Hey Rebecca, that's right! I love Foxbase Alpha too. Did you ever hear the new remix by Richard X. Not as good as the original but some surprises there. You are going to love Junior Boys!! I suggest that you start with their second album, although they are all equally amazing. As for your top, I am not familiar with Bonobo and Angus & Julia Stone. Any other suggestions? :)

Hi Rebecca...just wanted to say that I too had my day/week/possibly month made by seeing Slow Club live - they were sooo good, I saw them two nights in a row !! :D
