I hope this doesn't sound stalker-ish, but I think I just saw your reply in Nekromantix's post about playing Des Moines on Facebook. Mind if I add you on there? Unfortunately though I won't be making it to the concert, big assignment due for one of my classes tomorrow so I didn't really have the time to come back to DSM for the weekend. And oh, while I'm leaving you a shout, I just remembered you took pictures of us at the Rasputina show. Did you say something about putting them on myspace? Sorry I don't remember better, I was pretty drunk at that point of the night, lol. I was just wondering since I'd be interested in seeing how the pic turned out.

Saw that you're a maybe for the Rasputina show and that you're going to the Nekromantix one. I just bought my ticket for Rasputina, so if you do go maybe I'll see you there. And if I can get away from class/work, hopefully I'll be able to make it to Nekromantix.

I should have posted my comment from yesterday earlier. I wasn't sure if you'd see it in time. But yeah, at least we recognized each other. As far as the show, I was annoyed too that the sets were so short and that they rushed everybody out because of the later show. Other than that, it was good. I could have done without BVB though. Not impressed by them (or their fans) at all. And that's unfortunate that some of your friends couldn't come since the show was so early. It did seem like a small crowd. I am home for the holidays for the moment and heading back to Iowa City on Saturday. Have a good Thanksgiving!

I have a ticket to the TBM show, so I'm definitely going. If you see a big girl wearing a faux-corset type of blouse with lace at the top and a velvet jacket over it, it's probably me, so say hi if you like. Any identifying characteristic about you in case I see you first?

The new TBM cd is pretty good. It took a couple listens for me to get into it since it seemed kinda bland at first, but the more I listened the more I liked it. I think I still like their other albums more, but it has some good songs on it (like "Shallow Grave" and "Pins and Needles", which you may have noticed I liked since I marked them as "loved").

Yeah, hopefully I'll make it and can say hi. As for Aural Vampire, I just looked up a video of theirs on youtube last night and it wasn't bad, so I'd be interested in seeing them.

I just went to add the TBM show to my events and saw you were going. I think I'll actually be able to make it to Des Moines for the show since it's during Thanksgiving week and I don't have class.

Super is an amusing word choice. I guess they had to use something that shows a ridiculous amount of musical compatibility if the next level down is "very high" (I think), but it's a word that works. And I'm normally in Iowa City for most of the summer, although I just got back after staying in Des Moines for a week.

Xymos canceled November Tour but they are playing at Saturday at Triton Festival in Brooklyn NY.

Hey! Been a bit busy lately, any good shows in town?

Yeah, Des Moines is awesome. I'm actually from DSM, but I don't really get a chance to go back there more than a few times a year, which kind of sucks. And yeah, I kind of like Thrill Kill Kult (although not so much a Lords of Acid fan), so that'd be a cool show, but no car, so it'd be difficult to get to Minneapolis. As pathetic as it is, at least in Des Moines I can get a ride to shows from family/friends if need be.

No good shows in IC that I'm aware of, unfortunately. There's a small chance I might go to the Slick Idiot show at Vaudeville Mews in July, but it depends on if I feel like going to Des Moines for a concert I only kind of want to see. Maybe.

I will keep my eyes open O_O, then, and say hi if I recognize you! After this, the next big one for me is Killing Joke(!!!!) in Chicago--like a 9 hr drive but sooooooo worth it (imho)

(btw, living here in Kansas City, I can well understand the need to travel a long way to see a good show. True, with the lack of good shows in Iowa, yeah, you do have to go when there is one. And with traveling, that's true too, although I'm a college student without a car, so it's kind of hard to get around, but otherwise if there's a show within a reasonable distance that I want to go to, I try to go. I see you went to the Rob Zombie show. I almost went since I wanted to see Nekromantix, but didn't get to.
