Also, I did know about food subsidies. I have mixed feelings on them, I'm not sure the y should be universally eradicated, but they do have a lot of adverse effects on the environment and the world economy. 3rd world countries, for example, have a hard time building an agriculture base because they cannot compete with our crops which are sold below-profit because of subsidies. And yes, many other countries do it, it keeps food prices and inflation low and allows that country's product to compete more effectively against foreign markets, which makes citizens more happy since they'd lose their job otherwise. The corn ethanol subsidies in the United States were recently ended, which is good since corn ethanol is extremely ineffective compared to other crops.

You know there was a sense in which I was hoping you were wrong about rips from low quality players, but I'm listening to tapes on a BX-125 now and it does sound better. I was hoping you were wrong because now I have a shit ton of stuff to re-rip. Fuck.

Yeah new Rwake is great. I haven't listened to any black metal or noise in AGES and I've basically been listening to whatever I think is pretty after going through rym or sputnik eg. Grouper, The Weeknd, Omega Massif, Tv on the Radio and some other shit. And nah man, didn't get your pm.

Wow man, my parents don't really know about the lyrical content of the dm bands I listen to so they never bothered me but yeah for a Christian band Mortification are pretty good. Haven't been listening to as much dm as I'd like so I might as well check out their self titled. Anyways, is there anything new you've listened to that might pique my interest?

ah yes I will be acting, the plays at the end of the month and we still have a long way to go with rehearsing. shit is getting intense. and thanks for the recs. I really needed some new metal to listen to, I hate the fact that I've been slowly moving away from the entire genre recently.

Yeah I've had like 3-4 listens of the lp and it's already my favorite 2011 release. As for the ep, recently I've been having trouble getting any of the blogs to work for me for some god forsaken reason and it stopped working again right after I got the lp. Not being able to listen to the ep is driving me nuts. I had the split on my computer but it died a few days ago, I'll download the split again along the ep as soon as the blogs start letting me in again.

I finally got around to listening to the Caleb Caudell tape last night. Interesting. The music itself isn't all that interesting but the accompanying literature was what made it enjoyable and thought-provoking. As the label said, it's perfect for late night listens with headphones while reading the book.
