Thank you for your suggestions on the Black Seeds' page! I'm student teaching in New Zealand next year and I am trying to listen to as much music as I can before I go. it would be cool if I could plan to see a show during break but I am mostly enjoying the cultural education-- and the music, of course . :]

Yeah, Mezzanine is definitely their best, but every album is very, very strong in its own right. Blue Lines changed music and ushered in the concept of trip-hop. Protection touched on it a little further while expanding the sound, then Mezzanine creeped in and blew everyone away. 100th Window is probably their least popular, but I still think it's a great album. Go for Protection after that one, and their debut last.

On Massive Attack's page, you asked what you should try after Mezzanine... I would go with 100th Window or Protection. Both albums are *great*, though Protection requires a lot more adjustment. I started with Mezzanine and it took me a long time to appreciate pre-Mezzanine material. Great stuff regardless.

Any snow this winter? HAHAHA! We broke records this December for snow, in fact :( We just had a huge amount of subzero (Farenheit) temps and today is the first day where it's warmed up. Needless to say, I'm happy to see it. PEace.

Hey Mate, I was reading the comments on The Black Seeds and I saw you offer to help locate some NZ albums... I'm trying to find Fly My Pretties and anything else you might have.

Boxer is pretty accessible, but it's one of those albums that just gets better over time. Seriously though, their whole catalog is good. Check out Sad Songs for Dirty Lover and the Cherry Tree EP as well.

Start with Alligator, you'll end up loving all their records

there's a band called Dry & Heavy from Japan. they are the definition of killer dub. also check out Twilight Circus Dub Sound System if you're looking for some trippy stuff.
