That's the complete opposite of what people usually tell me haha. Most people I've shown them to find them too overwhelming. But hey, no one says you have to like it :P

I've got into them pretty easily, as 90's lo-fi alternative was the first genre I really clung to. They're easily one of the more lyrically inclined bands from that time period, but I can see how they could be too abrasive for some people. Terror Twilight, and Crooked Rain, Crooked are a toned down a bit, so try those.

They actually look pretty interesting, d/l-ing now.

ahh man, Throats was amazing but it was outdoors then they split up so I can't see them again. Dillinger the first time was one of the best bands I've seen, the second time they were the best. Go see them if they come to your area brah.

Oh and use some good headphones with nice bass, not to loud of a bass though, you don't want the bass to over shadow the other sounds. In their earlier stuff Panda Bears drumming goes really great with aveys guitar playing. I just like how they seem to clash, the guitar is very structured while the drums are very spastic, they provide a nice foil to one another. Also check out Pet Sounds and Smiley Smile before listening to MPP.

Well there are some bands you just won't get into. Animal Collective isn't deep like people make them out to be, it's really just trippy fun music. I'd start off with early stuff like Danse Manatee and Hollinndagain, it's sounds weird and all over the place but there are some really unique sounds made on those albums. After a couple listens you start to notice thing's, it's not about what you hear on the surface, it's about the layers, you start to appreciate the small details that you don't hear so easily. After you appreciate those things try out their later stuff like Sung Tungs and MPP. MPP has a lot of layering and there is stuff you don't normally notice, or you do notice but you don't know why it's there. You could take MPP at face value and appreciate the vocal harmonizing and trippy effects, but the small out of place sounds grab your attention if you listen to their previous work, they put it in the songs for a reason. Also being high while listening to them never hurt.

What I meant is that I checked out your profile because of the SUPER and then I would either compliment you on your taste as a tastelessly roundabout way of complimenting my own taste, or point out why I don't like your taste as if I actually had any right or reason to complain about other people's musical tastes, but when I checked out your stuff I didn't really have any first reaction to it. I mean the taste meter thingy says we're SUPER but then there's hardly any stuff I listen to on your list.
