I am extremely excited for the show. And yeah, trust me, I won't be forgetting my earplugs. Regarding The Seer, I personally loved it. I rank it among their best, definitely. It is essentially everything I wanted from the band, ever since hearing their terrifying post-rock renditions on Swans Are Dead (and I usually dislike the genre). Plus, their new emphasis/interest on groove (which I hear is only increasing) excites me. This stuff feels more dynamic, organic, and nuanced, whereas all older Swans stuff (including White Light, TGA, etc) with the exception of Soundtracks, felt more like a brick wall (in the best way possible). That is the best way I can describe it.

I haven't seen them yet; missed them the first time they came D': I am pretty sure I am in for an unparalleled experience, no? Also, what is your opinion on The Seer?

Too poor to buy both formats most of the times unfortunately. Been meaning to get a vinyl collection going for the longest time, so I usually just get the vinyl. There's also the problem of being partially deaf on one ear, so anything over 320 isn't gonna work.

Man, I'll have to go with The Money Store. I think I've listened to both an equal amount but I find myself going back to The Money Store more for dem beats and I can listen to it without skipping a track.

LOL omg. Yeah the CD was very much a grower for me, but now that it has grown on me I love it almost as much as I Have Made My Bed in Darkness. I still think Darkness is a classic though - one of the best albums I've ever heard, but Tree of Tongues is excellent as well.

Bummer! I don't get why there are age restrictions on some gigs, but I think it is more to do with the venue rather than the artists. I never wore earplugs when I went to see them and was stood right next to a massive speaker at the front of the stage for the whole show. It took a week for the ringing in my ears to stop, and I thought I was going to pass out during the bells at the start of No Words / No Thoughts.

I'll never forget [event=1595020]the best show I've ever attended[/event] - stacks of amps atop amps, no earplugs, front and center. I was pretty deaf for a couple days and it was worth it haha.

Exotic Animal Petting Zoo were wonderful! I shall listen to this album of theirs constantly. Fashion Week were also quite killer.
