oh, i had never really checked out 'good mourning' too much, but when you mentioned it, i downloaded it again. (lost my cd copy) it really is one of their best, at least 'maybe ill catch fire' or 'infirmary' caliber. goddamnit will always be my favorite though, just because it was the first one i heard. used to be an asian man records junkie

favorites so far are help me, over and out, i found away, and love love kiss kiss. i love the subject matter especially. it seems to me matt's lyrics have kind of assumed a theme that he's overdone sort of, but dan's lyrics always seem sincere to me

my copy of agony and irony came in today, i dig it surprisingly.

yea, the first alk3 cd i got was "goddamnit" because it had 666 on it, lol. i had never heard them, but my friends all liked them, and i was hooked from then. matt and dan are geniuses; they know exactly what to put in a song to make it catchy and fucking awesome. mucho respect, i dont think they have released a song i dont like, save for a few songs on "crimson" like "smoke"

also, there are barely any rednecks where i live, most of the rednecks live in northern LA and near the coastline below new orleans. the common misconception: everyone from southern america likes george bush (that fuckin asshat) and are inbred. new orleans and its suburbs arent like that. its really hard to find a southern accent; new orleans accent is almost like a brooklyn new york accent

well, i live about 15 minutes away across lake pontchartrain. there are many misconceptions about new orleans. its one of the few liberal spots in the south/. night life is great. the jazz/ska/harcore scene is really popular. but then you never know when a killer storm is gonna come.... how's life in the UK?

i used to not like 'good mourning' cause i was weened on 'goddamnit', 'alkaline trio', and 'maybe ill catch fire', so it took me awhile to dig good mourning, but its awesome; reminds me of "maybe ill catch fire"'s second disc, if it were a 2 disc set of course

man, you're not blaspheming, you're right. all 3 new songs have grown on me, faster than crimson did, but in vein sounds like the killers or something to me. the jury is still out, but i hope the cd is more solid than the agony and irony ep.

Yeah I wanted to go and see them in May - but it was just bad timing! Plus they're playing Oxegen this year, so it might not be very likely they'll play Vital aswell :(
