Isn't post-punk sort of progressive by definition? And I mean the real post-punk, not watered down Joy Division wannabes

I guess it is. But then most prog rock bands are not really that progressive either.

got to see them live the other day and was lucky enough to be blessed by steen's presence at the barricade. if you ever have the chance, SEE THEM LIVE. this band is only releasing better and better music, and their stage presence and charisma as a whole is undisputed. i love shame!

This reminds me of when I was a sophomore in high school Fugazi's Red Medicine had just came out and I was talking about how amazing it was with my best friend, this kid who was eves dropping turns around and says "Fugazi they are such a bunch of sellouts." I grew up in a really small town only 90 kids in my graduating class, to this day I'm pretty sure that me and my friend were the only two kids listening to Fugazi at 16 in our small town. I'm positive the kid who said that had never heard them or even heard of them. There is always someone trying to be too cool for school these days they just gang up on the internet instead of being a single voice that you easily disregard. You never know whose comments your reading. I mean that kid acted like he was the world's most hard core punk but he would have been 11 when Repeater came out.🤣

these young ne'er-do-wells are not afraid to 'crank it' out in the open and ride the inevitable 'wave' of adulation

Something about shame just hits different. Drunk Tank Pink remains a favorite release this year - love them

yeah honestly they really do, I listened to Drunk Tank Pink for the first time this week and immediately upon listening I thought "they definitely listened to Fugazi when they wrote this." the other album not so much, but Drunk Tank Pink for sure.

Born in Luton is the only track I see Fugazi’s direct influence on. I admit that one sounds like a lot of the material from Repeater. But besides that I don’t see how one could say “Shame sounds like Fugazi” because that statement on the whole is just not true
