Flash-forward to B.B.King's "Why I Sing the Blues" . I never did get to hear live Howlin' , but I do recall B.B. and Albert being on the same bill at The Fillmore . (Remember the mini-era when it was "fashionable" for progressive / rock performers to suffex their names with "Blues Band" ? The " Steve Miller 'Blues Band' " is a typical example . ... Caught same with a perhaps "more authentic" opening group , "The James Cotton Blues Band" . "TJCBB" alone would have been a bargain for the three bucks and change bingo ticket !)
