Cherbourg emerged in 2008 from the London folk scene with an original sound generated by a common respect and willingness to absorb as many of each others' different musical influences as possible
Originally called "Davie Fiddle and the Lucky Egg" They consist of Andrew Davie ( guitar vocals), Phil Fiddle (violin, mandolin, guitar piano vocals) Kevin Jones (bass vocals) and Chris Maas (drums, vocals) The band deliver four part vocal harmonies and soaring beat epic melodies
"last chapter of Dreaming" (EP) on the first Cherbourg record released 2 February 2009 at Chess Club Records "Into the Dark" (EP) is their follow-up and released through Chess Club Records June 1
