yeah I love the roll of the dice aspect of Mountain Goat setlists. and it's a lovely venue, I've seen Kingfish, Tennis, and The Avett Brothers there prior. they consistently book great bands. I wish I would have bought a ticket early for Aimee Mann there next February as they sold out fast.

1) Still listening to full albums ✅ 2) You are 5 days older than me on last.fm ✨ 3) I have no idea how late this followback is but better late than never ⏳

if you have any artists and albums recommendations, please let me know! we've got similar tastes in music and I'm sure there is stuff in your library I'd love that I haven't discovered yet on my own.

I think I listen to a lot of post-rock. Break my fucking sky is excellent too. A great adventure or nothing, I built the sky, If these trees could talk, Collapse Under the Empire, This Will Destroy You, Metafox. Lately I've been having a fix of chill step type of music. Post rock is relaxing great stuff.

hopping into this thread to say God is an Astronaut is incredible live too. if they ever tour in the states again, I'd make an effort to see them. caught them when I was living in Philly PA

Well there's clearly only one solution then...move to Toronto! Really though I'm very grateful to live in such a good city for music, and this is exactly why I don't know if I'd ever be able to live outside a reasonable driving distance from a major city. The urge to make frequent road trips would be strong, especially now that I've become so spoiled!

Awesome another friend, I am climbing up the last.fm social ladder...slowly but surely! And indeed anybody whose Radiohead and Sigur Ros plays number in the thousands is on a wavelength that I can understand.

hi :) you were one of the very first people i talked to on last fm ages ago (i happened to be going way back in my shoutbox) and remember how we talked about scandinavia? welp, i was there about a month and a half ago, and i just wanted to report to you that it was everything we imagined it to be and more! as a side note, over the last 2 years we've graduated to "super" compatibility.

Gaaawd, I'm so jealous ! Neither Janelle Monae nor Sufjan Stevens seem to have any concerts planned nearby Norway in the near future. I'd gladly rip of a finger or two if I was just able to experience any of them live. Guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed instead :) Have you seen Sufjan live as well ? Dig your charts btw !

interesting charts :) and yes, I think Siberian Breaks has to be one of MGMT's best tracks just because theres so many different parts to it, especially towards the middle. Whats your favorite part?

Seriously. The two parts of the song are strong as they are by themselves, but how they can be together and complement each others parts so well is what it makes it soooo good. also, the imagery of waves as wanting is just beautiful.
