WOW!!! i didnt know about this one.... i need to find out if it comes in german cinemas and when! sounds fantastic. i like this kind of films. i think its good that at least in german films scen they handle the ww2 and gdr subject alot. now its like germany redeems itself from all the evil shit by telling the stories in moving pictures. its fantastic. also what i love about our filmbusiness is that independent films are mostly all coming in cinema and big films.. not like in other countries where mostly is two scenes: independent and commercial.

what is defiance? :o film? band? if film then i probably havent heard of because in germany all films get german title. :(

wow!!! never read the book.. i need to get it!!! does it have same name as film!? yay.. hurray for klezmer!!!! we have big balkan nights here in berlin... and bf has balkan club in scandinavia.. its mcuh fun.. many balkan and klezmer bands play live. i love the people on those events... wonderful celebrations... all so happy and positive and still it swings some special melancholy with it.

yes, as kacknorris said.. i belong to the group "jews with good taste".... i listen to many klezmer, balkan, gypsie and yiddish music..... plus yiddish is like 97% like our german lanuage... i love it. have you ever heard of the barry sisters? listen to them.. very great!

you should have notice by now that it say "IDOLF HATLER" and not adolf hitler.. big difference dont you think. and again you should have noticed its our way to be AGAINST that cruel person who has done all evil things. thats our german ironic way to make fun of that person.. to pull that person into pieces and to insult this creature. i come from berlin... and we have very similar humour as british people have... we always handle important things with black disgusting humour to REMIND people what happened. in germany is big problem that everyone hushs about evil things in history that happened in germany. in history class they still dont handle ww2 subject or even the german democratic republic subject with berlin wall. hope you understand now. and only way to remember people here in my country is to shock them... its sadly only way to make them think. i heard from american friend from texas that in his history class in america for example they dont handle vietnam war. its same as here
