You look like someone I would never talk to in real life and the amount that you listen to The Cure verifies that.

Very much so. Then again, I'm biased. Wu-Tang and Fugazi are a couple of my favorite artists. Hell, that mash-up inspired me to finally watch Instrument and get the OST.

I already know Cocteau Twins and Echo and the Bunnymen, but I'll check out the others. Thanks. :) As far as Oingo Boingo... 'BOI-NGO' and 'Dead Man's Party' are good albums for their more popular songs such as "Not My Slave", "We Close Our Eyes", "Stay", "Just Another Day", and "Weird Science" (if you've ever seen the cheesy 80's movie by the same name). 'Dark End of the Tunnel' and 'Boingo' show a more serious side of Boingo and if you like The Cure, you will probably like these. Hope this helped.

Made me smile. I grew up listening to more Siouxsie Sioux than Robert Smith, though. Want/have any recommendations?

For crack rocksteady: Star Fucking Hipsters, INDK, Morning Glory. For crust: Bastard, dotfuckingcom, Fukpig, Assuck, Initial State, Anti-Product. For ska punk: The Suicide Machines, Against All Authority. For straight up punk: Pour Habit. That's all I feel like mentioning for now.

vv tru dat homie. ALRIGHT, lets throw out some crust. First off, you need some Dystopia in your charts. Pick up "The Aftermath..." or "Human = Garbage". Most people prefer H=G but it's a pretty close battle in my book. You've got some Nausea, good. now move onto some Amebix and get Arise! and Monolith. Lets take a look at some good ol' anarcho-punk/crust hybrids. You've got Nausea, which is a great start. I'd recommend picking up Antischism's self titled discography and some Anti Cimex EPs like "Raped Ass" and "Victims Of A Bomb Raid" <--- those guys were innovators of the blast beat. I see you're liking some GISM... I'd totally suggest picking up Discharge to complement them with their two ESSENTIAL AS FUCK albums "Why?" and "Hear Nothing, Say Nothing". Get around to a few of these and I'll recommend you some more stuff. There are a lot of essentials still yet to listen to like His Hero Is Gone, Skitsystem, etc.

i would start with 'the end is begun', that album itself got me hooked on them. after that you should listen to wake pig, and sort of fill in the rest after that.

Jane Doe is their best by far. It took me a few listens to get into it but it was so worth it. Homewrecker was the first song I liked. Try that.

They played where I live last year but it was fucking 18+, I was so pissed, it would have been incredible.

I've been on a huge Cure kick lately, the Jesus and Mary Chain is also pretty awesome, like the Cure with shoegaze. Have you heard the Crystal Castles song with Robert Smith doing "Not in Love"?

Normally, I hate thinking that singles are the best songs from bands (I usually don't think that anyways), but sweet baby Jesus, I have to give it up for Fascination Street. It's in my top 5 favorite songs. A couple of runner-ups are One Hundred Years, Out Of This World, and Play For Today.
