I agree with you about melody & lyrics too. I can't get into a song at all unless I like the melody. I know lyrics can be important but good lyrics are a bonus to me. Makes sense why I listen to Japanese music I suppose (no idea what they are saying)!

Wish i'd caught TEB I knew they were on tour, but I saw & met Switchfoot so im very happy! Have you listened to Kevin Cadogan's solo stuff? It's really really good I love it. Matchbox Twenty have changed, i'd love to see them tour.

Oooo I'm going to be nosy & join the conversation about TEB & Matchbox Twenty! TEB self titled is amazing I grew up listening to that album.. I liked Out of the vein as well but it still doesnt live up.

Agreed. Those are seriously two of the most perfect albums created during the rock/alternative phase... Have you checked out SafetySuit? Their newer album "Life Left to Go" ? I'd say it's also a nearly perfect album with the whole rock/alt feel to it as well!
