Thanks for checking out my list. Yours are interesting aswell. The Always Open Mouth is indeed one of the best albums of the last decade. Nice call. It's tough finding recommondations for you, but I guess you should chekc out Bats, Narrows, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, As Tall As Lions, Coalesce and Oceana. Have fun^^

I don't think an EP is necessarily a bad place to start, with Jesu, especially is it's the Silver EP. That one is fantastic, and in my opinion, some of the best work of Justin Broadrick's long career. The new EP, Opiate Sun, is very good as well. Yes, I'm familiar with the album Aidan Baker did with Tim Hecker, and that is, interestingly enough, the album that convinced me that Aidan Baker is, like you said, a genius. I don't care much for Hecker - he bores me to death actually, but put him in a room with Aidan Baker and apparently he's a creative monster. And you're definitely right about baker being prolific - a look at his discography, including solo work, work with Nadja and colabs with other artists, can really overwhelm you. It would really suck if he wasn't any good, but since he's great, it works ;-)

Hey, I was listening to Nadja today and happened to see you journal about their album Touched. That instantly struck me because I've recently rediscovered that album as well. I've loved Nada for some time now, but just recently became very intimate with that album; it just sounds perfect in my head these days, playing along with whatever psychosis I have going on. It certainly is epic, in the very best sense of the word. I don't know if you're familiar with Jesu, but you might like their first album, titled Heart Ache. It's not exactly like Nadja (nothing really is), but if you appreciate epic-ness, that album is a great place to find it: 2 songs, about 40 minutes. Very grand and beautiful sounding, but still heavy. I also couldn't help but notice and appreciate your love for Have a Nice Life; they've recently become one of my favorite bands as well. Anyway, lemme know what you think, if you like. Cheers! :-)

Yeah, it's a damn shame. Most of the people I've introduced to MST3K haven't really gotten it either, which is kinda sad. Oh well. YOUR WEAPONS HAVE NO EFFECT ON ME!

Sure thing. Ooooh. Biting Bullets, I must hear it as well as the others. Hold Your Breath is an old one with Alex and Jamison instead of Parker and Jamison, but it's still good none the less. I wonder how Slow Suicide sounded the first time JP ever played it. I would seriously give anything to see them perform right now. ]:

YOU HAVE THE PAPER, ROCK, SCISSORS DEMO? That's the only JP song I don't have. At least I think it is. Could you send it. My e-mail's shaantychan@hotmail.com if you've lost my ifno. Sorry if I'm a bit antsy. xD I asked my mum if she would buy me that grey shirt that said JamisonParker along the sides of it and she said she'd ask my dad, but he's yet to get it for me. I'm getting a little antsy. I know how you feel about not going to shows in the UK. There have been no good shows in LA for the past month. I've got to wait til the end of February for anything slightly decent. I'm surprised that Say Anything and none of its side projects are touring. I've yet to meet Jake and Alex and I really want to. Same with FTSK and E For Explosion. But I agree. EFE isn't a big interest of mine either.

Heh, I got a new guitar too, Fender Stratocaster Highway One x3 Usually that doesn't really say anything to anyone, but heck, its a strat, it's gotta be good ;D I recently got Photoshop, actually. Well, I BORROWED it from my father, who got it from his office (He's a professor. Why he has a Photoshop CD in his office, I don't know, but I'm not complaining). I haven't edited many pics yet (because of poor camera quality), but I've colored drawings and drawn some pretty basic pics from scratch.
