Hey! Not discovered anything new and even if I did, you'd probably know about them anyway! Mostly been listening to older stuff on better sound gear (no thanks to Head-Fi, haha). One thing I have recently discovered though, are the early ISIS EPs (Mosquito Control, Red Sea & SGNL>05) which have been quite a revelation - never knew they were so rediculously heavy back then!

Not too bad man, how about yourself? Damn, I really need more metal, kinda lost interest for a while. :(

The LNAC page has the advanced tickets link up now. I went ahead about three tickets for both of the shows.

Related to Behold... the Arctopus and Infidel?/Castro!, check out Colin Marston's Indricothere. It's pretty cool tech metal in the same vein as Behold... but maybe a tad more atmospheric and a little compositionally weaker IMO (I guess like Sleep Terror, but nonetheless awesome.) There's definitely just as much guitar wankery to enjoy :)

Thanks for the recommendation! The samples I'm listening to are totally awesome. It's on CDBaby and in stock so I should have it soon. Also, Thinking Plague is amazing as well so thanks for seconding that. I've got some recommendations for you as well. Okay, there's either of cLOUDDEAD's albums. They're abstract hip-hop and since you like electronica and seem to be open to hip-hop in general, I thought you might enjoy them for something light and fun. Their lyrics are pretty whimsical so you can enjoy both the lyricism and music. The second is Sun Ra's live performance CD Nuits de la Fondation Maeght, vol. 1. This seems to have gotten incredibly hard to find, but I think you should try to find some way to hear Cosmic Explorer. It's almost 20 minutes of his histrionics on the Moog and even though it's a solo, it has as many peaks and valleys as an arranged piece. If you like vol. 1 of this in general, you'll like the second vol as well. Out of room now, so thanks again!

You have lovely taste. I'm not sure if I can recommend anything that you haven't heard, but you might like Happy Family if you can track down either of their CDs (I like Toscco the best, but both are good.) To me, they seem somewhere between Shining and Univers Zero as far as Zeuhl-like progressive rock goes.
