Hi, sad news about John Lever wasn't it? I had a bit of a Chams binge in tribute. ps. Did you ever find out who that obscure song was by?

Yep, very sad. I meant to check out the red sided garter snakes band he had formed with dave fielding but didn't really get round to it. too young to have gone really. Not found the song and probably won't. I did hear a couple of guys on Lamacq's show on BBC radio 6 during his indie shopkeepers week who may have worked at the record shop I heard the song at, so I sent a cheeky tweet to him to ask them. but never got a reply. it'll have to remain in my head I guess, lol. heard a great black metal album last year from Orannsi Pazuzu - my fave of the year. quite dark, have a very slint like track, Havuluu, and some epic tracks incl my fave, Hypnotisoitu Viharukous. Brill.

Pretty cool man. The smiths and rem are some all timers for me. I grew up listening to classics, my mom was huge on Bowie and my dad alice cooper. I can't stand how twee most modern "indie" alt whatever rock is, but I'll check those groups out. Yeah, life's rich how could I forget that one.

Oh how time changes everything. It's pretty unreal to think about. I was only born in 89 so the main thing going on in the 90s was grunge and then everyone's big brothers crying when Kurt Cobain died. Trail of dead is a good band from my neck of the woods. Like source tags and codes, Madona, and s/t era. Damn I used to listen to that self titled album endlessly.

Right on. Love the smiths, probably my all time favorite band. The 80s had some sweet post punk, 4ad was busy. This mortal coil, Cocteau, DCD, pixies, etc. You into Roxy music? Avalon is a masterpiece. Japan - tin drum?

Are you into depeche mode? They had a string of really good albums in the 80s that they pretty much dominated. I saw your comment about seeing Peter Murphy, I was fortunate enough to see Bauhaus open for NIN like 5 years ago. Memorable experience

I haven't checked them out before, but it sounds like I need to. I saw wire a few years ago at a pretty small venue. Was pretty kickass

Right on. Dcd is awesome, so many good varied albums. Chameleons are a good band as well, really like strange times.

Hi, haven't caught Vox yet, the shows are always at the wrong time/in the wrong place. Last time I saw Chams was the 2000 show at the academy in Manchester. Was great tho.
